Not bad.
Not bad at all. :P
Little miss fish came up with a dish.
Spicy noodles and shrimp with tomatoes and such with crushed peanuts on top.
Oh, and the ever sensational miss fish Angus Beef Jerky.
I haven't been posting food pics 'cause for the last few weeks I only eat 1 main meal a day and it's always boring. Dinner tonight is no exception but I'm sick of baked Salmon and replaced it with Cod for a change (which is as close as I'll be getting to F&C in a while).
The bright side is I've dropped about 3.5kg gained over the festive season, when a food and booze binge appeared outta nowhere
^^...french fries spotted peeking out from under the salad...do you make your own tartar sauce?...
So why you still eating the bland stuff?
Followed that with a lovely mango Danish. Funny story really- I had originally picked up a 49 baht walnut Danish, and thought it looked a bit burnt and noticed it was stuck to the foil, so took a little bite out of it then chucked it in with the 29 baht cakes.
As I was queuing up at the till this old Farang stood behind me with a tray with the walnut Danish with the bite out of that is about to double in price for him
Mid afternoon dinners these days, just some fruit between now and bed time.
If you're going to boot the oven up on a hot day, make it worth the effort.
Enough lean meat to last for a few days.
Chicken breast, pork fillet, pumpkin mash, honey carrots, and everyone's favourite: Brussel sprouts
A Thai papaya salad, part of my second meal today. First time I've had it at a local roadside coffee shop in Pua and was disappointing. Papaya too course, not softened/bruised enough and no salty note. However was satisfactorily loaded with chili to the extent I will approach tomorrow morning standard routine with caution.

^ you're no Carol Vorderman are you?
I made up a thick BBQ marinade and my wife BBQ'd some pork ribs.
I went for a couple of pints of the local beer,Chinggis Beer- a nice enough beer, certainly better than Leo and Chang imo. The local brewery tour is on the to-do list
^^ you are as bad as Skkin..... and me
Maybe he was hoping that if the sausages were black they'd be bigger.
Some of those Sausages look like missing digits found by CSI in a house fire....
I'd better avoid porridge...sounds like a lose lose proposition.
Stir-fry II... Thin sliced chicken breast, carrot sticks, white and red onion, scallions, sliced white button mushrooms, red and green bell pepper, minced fresh ginger and garlic. Stir-fried in batches this time so as not to overcrowd the wok. Used peanut oil and a few drops of sesame seed oil. This pic after all ingredients were combined and my stir-fry sauce added:
Plated on a bed of brown rice:
Very tasty and much better effort at a proper stir-fry...I think. Still have room for improvement though. Next time I'll slice the pieces of chicken breast even smaller and thinner. The veggies were much better this go-around and still had crunch to them. Have to make a point to have mushrooms on hand next time too...they were that extra special touch.
Next shopping trip I need to get some more Asian style spices and other ingredients. There's an Oriental Market right around the corner I'll have to check out.
