Having received a drive by drop of pies recently

it was time to try the newest creation, a steak mince pie with a suet crust.

Being a suet crust you can't just bung it in the oven as it will go hard, thereby defeating the whole point of a suet crust. Steaming is the best method of reheating.

    Cue new steamer.

knock up some mash and peas and 20 minutes later

and to finish off the presentation

Glad you enjoyed the new pie mate.

The steamer looks a great heating method Tosti.

Normally, and as most don't have steamers people cut one small corner of the wrapper off and microwave the pies for 4 minutes on high.

The pastry does not harden and you can pick the pie up in your hand and eat it.

I had half of the spare ribs my missus made for me but then collapsed in a heap you barstool!

Did Sabang stay much longer after I left?

By the way I somehow ended up with 50 Ringgit in my pocket which obviously come from you. I will pass it back next time we meet.

    A messy but fun afternoon!

Being a bit old fashioned I don't use them goddamm newfangled radiation devices. '' you can pick the pie up in your hand and eat it''..... fook right off.... I have sufficient coordination to use a knife and fork, simultaneously and at the same time. If my dearly departed old Mum caught me eating with my hands she would roll over in her grave.

Lovely was the term Tosti described the pie as being and according to his line message.

And he is someone I respect and trust with regard to his opinion either being positive or negative.

    This woman swears by it...

Pie comes out fabulous in the steam oven. [at]It is flakier than in the regular oven and it also has a better shine than in the regular oven. [at]For my recipe for apple pie, see my blog: cookingwithrachel101.com.[at]
But I am telling you that you will love the results with any pie, including the frozen pie that you buy in the super market. [at]The crust truly will be better than it normally is. [at]Simply set your Wolf steam oven to the Auto Steam bake mode and let it work its magic
    Steam oven cooking: Apple Pie

I 'll stick to nuking them though, got enough redundant kitchen appliances, tge wife being one

^Seriously if you must eat frozen pies for whatever reasons, defrost them and heat them gently in the oven. Ask any pastry chef for their opinion on this.

Not if it is a suet crust. Other pies yes and you know I do. Suet needs to be steamed.

Yes, I believe it is. I just ignored Loy Toys cooking instructions (as I have on all his products; he is an Aussie after all) and do things the more traditional way.
