Great stuff Dickie, looks delicious as per usual. And thanks for the head-slap to pull the slow cooker out from somewhere in the bowels of my kitchen cupboards, it's hotter than a pawnshop Patek here now and slow cooking won't raise the condo temp anything like oven baking or stove top cooking does.
^ Thank you HW.
It's a great invention alright...
Any of you guys used a pressure cooker? they are supposed to infuse flavor and be very healthy... air fryer looks the dog's bollocks too!
Well done Dick Love the way you roasted the spuds I've never seen them sliced so many times like that before, great idea.

Is that only one fish finger a sausage roll and 3 chips you're spoiling yourself ,

The Monster Munch Sandwich
Why not
Won't be back in Malaysia until December, so I signed off with a vegetarian thali the other day for lunch.
A strawberry lassi for me (too sweet).
A vanilla lassi for my wife (very good).
And, because it will be a while, an almond milk topped with saffron to finish (excellent).
Damn that's some good drinking. Hard to beat a fresh lassi.
Nice to have a change from mango lassi as well. Lychee ones are my favourite, if I get the chance.
Just to add that, apart from the obvious, there are a couple of veggie/dhal curries, a sour soup, aloo masala (potatoes), green vegetables with chili, fried cauliflower and spiced tofu.
I could quite happily live as a vegetarian if it was Indian food everyday.
You guys really like your Indian food.
Theres a lot of it offshore here, I can eat it when theres nothing else, but I hardly ever crave it. Get kinda annoyed when theres no other choice.
Some of it is alright I guess.
It's definitely a British thing. Like many from the UK I pretty much grew up on going out to an Indian restaurant when I was a kid and then I started going to the Indian cafes for lunch when I was a bit older. I say Indian cafes or restaurants, but most are actually Bangladeshi/Pakistani at home.
Thai food still edges it for me though, for the variety I suppose. Given the choice it would be one of Thai, Indian or Italian if I was asked to pick my favourite food.
Beans on toast topped with cheddar cheese and brown sauce a close 4th, of course.
I'd have to add Mexican to that list.
Probably be in my top 2. But Mexican at home is probably similar to the variety found in indian food.Originally Posted by Luigi

Im no foodie though nor can I cook
My homemade, halal lamburger....
I made two batches, one with simple S&P with garlic and one batch with the same plus a touch of cinnamon and rosemary. The latter was really, really nice.
I took the wife to watch "Beauty and the Beast" yesterday and had this gourmet delight...
The burger was just above ok...nothing I'd rave about considering the price (209B). Having anything McDonald's served up on a cutting board almost made me laugh out loud....pigs and lipstick come to mind....
