Half the day in the kitchen today... I'll be glad to get back to work!

I rarely make spaghetti bolognaise, but always enjoy it when I do. A huge pot was made up so we're good for a few days.

Although I say it meself, this was delicious... maybe due to my secret ingredient, a big squirt of Daddies Sauce.

This week I found this thick spaghetti at Makro which is almost a bit flat. Way better than the usual stuff.

^ Yeah, but did Nonna know about the Daddies Sauce!

^^ Chitty, you've come full circle.

Before you made good food (your home cooking) look crap ... well, to be fair, average at best

Now, with your new camera and photography skills you've made crap food look good

    ^ Good spot!

I had a brainwave and checked the packet... Linguine No. 6 by all accounts.

This is the nicest spaghetti I've bought in Thailand, it's got a bit of substance to it... from Makro.

A bit more Thai – spiced chicken, sautéed sprouts with snow peas and a side of Moo Palo. Dessert of apple, orange and rambutan. Makes for a pleased palate.

Nice to see that there is only one meat dish and it is the smallest. This is actually like a food pyramid dream.

^^ Moo palor is one of my favourite dishes here... is it Thai or Chinese?

Due to over fishing in the pond the pla nin I catch are getting smaller and smaller. Yes... I've been home that long.

So instead of fish and chips tonight it was fish goujons... as they call them in the bars. And try and keep a kid away from chips long enough to take a pic.

You know something has gone wrong in life when you celebrate a new job with Peter Vella. FFS... I'll get cheaper and better wine in Norway.

Not cod, but a close second if you're stuck in Isaan...

Those chips look great and those goujons are pretty large. Not long and you'll be eating fresh caught north sea fish - can't beat that.

There's a fish and chip shop opened up near me in Bang Na. It's almost 100% authentic but they don't wrap it in newspaper.

You can get the same taste by carefully sprinkling it with printer refill ink.

    It looks good. Two questions:

Where did you buy tartare sauce? I cannot find it around Udon Thani.

Is Peter Vella actually wine? Does the word wine appear anywhere on the packaging?
