^ interesting, AO, how was the flavour?

Mendip that lasagne looks, errrm, average, but how did it taste - because if it tasted good then it was good!

The mango sponge with "Garnider's Custard" looks nice; Papillion would have double portions of that!

I wonder if I can make a cheese and ham toastie in my new AirFryer (which looks like a round convection oven to me...).
    Cycling should be banned!!!

^ Looks good! So are these airfyers really any different to a convection oven turned up hot?

From what I can work out, it's a grill with good air flow and a fan, so basically, that's a convection oven? It's in a nicer form factor for cleaning, and it cooks pretty quickly, but you have to turn the food over half way through.

...2 things: keep stirring the pasta sheets while they boil and...buy a better quality pasta next time...

^^ Will do. I generally go for the cheapest pasta with the longest sell by date. I didn't realise it varied. I'm more of a potato man.

I'll check out Lazada tomorrow. To be honest mainly out of intense boredom. If I can make fish and chips in one it'll be a deal!

The wife said they're pretty expensive in Thailand... But, they are decent; make cooking easy and pretty quick to clean up.

Nice... Look up brining air fried chicken or pork. Makes it really succulent apparently.

Try doing something in a nice beer batter in there. A nice piece of Atlantic Cod
Only kidding, batter makes a right mess in those things, hreadcrumbs work though. Or was it the other way round

Have you done roast potatoes in these, Dilly? What's the best way to do roast potatoes and baked potaties in these things?

^ See, now you're in convection oven territory.

    Are we baking or frying?

^ The air fryer is not a fryer - it's a baking device as far as I can see.

Chips ok...fish not so much. At least in my experience. Maybe I did it wrong. Fish in a deep fryer is much better IMO.

...pasta quality varies greatly...I like De Cecco, but any pasta made with durum wheat should be ok...

Dunno mate, never tried those. I'd have to google. They would work well with Aunt Bessies frozen spuds.

Looking at your chicken again, didn't you season it or anything.

Have a look at these...and buy the ingredients

    Buttermilk chicken.

You don't have to pre boil the pasta (it will likely say this on the packet if you check unless it's a Somchai special made from rice flour and floor scrapings ;-) ). As long as each sheet is between two layers of sauce (not on the very top and not on the bottom) it will cook perfectly when the dish is placed in the oven.

Healthy dinner last night as usual. Baked Salmon with Brussel Sprouts and Spinach.

Why the random lemon slices on the plate?

Your sauce is supposed to cover them completely. They curl because they are dry.

another solution will be to parboil the pasta first.
