^Must be the case. More's the pity, as BiP's Missus has also found, the syrup tinned or bottled peaches comes in is too sweet

    Take a guess, AO....

Peaches are still in the testing stage in the north.
Expecting a general small yield when production ready.

In a few short months I will make a drive over the Cascade mountain range to the Yakima valley to load the truck up with some of the best produce in the world. The peaches grown there are the best I have ever had. Aromatic, sweet and loaded with juices. They are perfect to buy by the case to can in mason jars. I am fresh out of them as this time of year I run out. It long has been a summer ritual in this household.

The well done (manly way) steak looks good and the yolk standing to attention, very nice..

^ A herb infused minced pork kofta, wrapped in an artisan hand-made puff pastry, accompanied with salsa di pomodor and finished with cracked black peppercorns.

    ^^^ Sacre Bleu

The egg was ordered runny, the airfried chips were uncooked, the bread and one soggy sausage went to the dog...

Just as I was thinking this is how it must feel to be Chitty's next of kin, she redeemed herself with the striploin.

555 it took me ages to get the Mrs to cook a fried egg properly, its like their omelettes they find it impossible to be subtle enough to cook on a low heat. I'd say though the Mrs is better at omelettes than me now, she's yet to furnish a rice one thank God.

So, first off, a big Thank You to all the cookers out there, the head chefs, I’m an eater not a cooker. But, the simple meals my wife makes, as you have all seen, the finished product doesn’t show the time in the preparation; the washing, the cutting, the mortaring, the cooking and the seasoning, followed of course by the presenting and then the best part of all – the Eating.

So, tonights simple meal of moo sap, sprouts with tofu and a dessert of rambutan, apples and mango took about four hours to prep and cook. Followed by all of a half hour to consume.

    Looked good – tasted better.
