Only joshing mate and jealous cus of your batter and chips, it looks quite thick that. I think I have had it in the Robin Hood years ago.

I bought some frozen Norwegian cod this week

Gonna do this with it tomorrow...

Regarding my Spam Omelette: going out, especially places with lots of people, is not top of the list, so the cupboards were not as full as usual. I will brace the supermarket today, I probably should have gone yesterday, but it was raining.

^ Don't they deliver there? And aren't supermarkets full of more folk than restaurants?

The restaurants and supermarkets are less busy than usual...

Just got back from eMart; got a nice bit of cooked ham; me and Chokdee already had at it.

The wife likes strawberries, so I did the good husband thing (kinda pointless when I won't be going out for a beer tonight...).

I get those Korean strawberries here. Are they cheap there because the ones grown here in the Cameron Highlands aren't.

I noticed some fancy pink Japanese ones too

Shopping is expensive in Korea; more expensive than the UK (well for Northerners shopping in Liddells and Asda...); nearly as expensive as Japan nowadays. Those strawberrys were 10,000 won which is about 260 baht.

That SPAM omelette looked good... and you've reminded me... I brought back a nice tin of SPAM and a nice tin of Corned Beef from Singapore last week.

I've got a yearning for SPAM fritters now... may get busy in the kitchen later. Looks like corned beef hash could be on the menu in the week as well!

^ he is the only friend I have. &, his little eyes when I have food are impossible to turn down (sneaky little fuker, he is).

Spam is a much under rated food, as is corned beef. The omelette was really tasty (or, if Cyrille's reading - nice).

Funnily enough, I've had a few kidney pains and the such after big drinking sessions in the last 6 months, so once I saw this CoronaVirus lark, I decided to be sensible; don't really wanna get this virus and have kidney problems (liver, lungs whatever it is that aches; round the back on the sides, particularly the right side...) at the same time. It's been exercise, quite healthy living and a coouple of beers twice a week for the last few weeks.

When my brother was with us in November I forgot about a boned leg of New Zealand lamb I had in the freezer. So with little chance of a last minute homestay booking today it was time to cook it. Been more than a year since I ate lamb and I was keen to do so. Didn't worry about any peas or gravy, it was an effort to do the potatoes, pumpkin and carrots. Ninety minutes in a 170 degree fan forced oven was maybe a bit long, but after resting it for thirty minutes it was butter soft and delicious. Just added a bit of pink Himalayan rock salt to it on the plate. As you can see I prefer my roast lamb in slabs, bugger thin slices. Before roasting it I seasoned the outside with olive oil, mixed herbs and rock salt. Still got the other half for tomorrow. Good times!

Some nice meals here... time to lower the standard I think.

^ Abundant gravy for us last night...

Sausages, baked potato with kana from the garden...

The only thing that let it down was the broccoli which had gone yellow around the edges...

    Oh... and the lumpy gravy.
