^Be glad I didn't take a pic of my steak tonight cut open, a good vet could have brought it back to life

^ Gammon steak, chips with a fried egg and pineapple ring! Superb!

Personally I would have had something different than salad with it...

^^ And that steak does look great HW... I guess no chips because you're on the KETO? Steak without chips just doesn't look right to me... do you get used to it after a while?

I like the option of both egg & pineapple and not one or the other.

Missed breakfast today so decided to go a bit heavier on the fried stuff at lunch:

    Gyoza to start. Fantabulous.

    Dinner-gyoza-jpg

Followed by a big bowl of udon tonkatsu.

    Dinner-udon-jpg

No eggs this time, Chitty, but those pickled mushrooms went down a treat. Burp.

Ta. Why do my pics always come out small these days?

La sopa is now in the fridge. I was too pissed to take a pic yesterday.

What an absolute shower of shite.

An absolute absolute shower of shite.

    //Daily Moan thread crossover//

Collect kiddo with MM, lovely evening, a bit cool, lovely pale blue skies, let's go find some outdoor restaurant where we can sit next to some water under the evening sky.

up pops 'Windmill' on google maps.

Nice outdoor seating and space, tables along the water.

German pork knuckle, hopefully with some nice German beer, perhaps a Gung chae naam plaa after a couple of more beers.

Pull on up. Park, cruise on in.

Welcome Sir, now this is a Moo Krataa Buffet.

    *sigh*

Kid's eyes light up. She loves them. Presumably because the food is squishy and she can cook and play with it.

    *sigh*

    Fine...

Go to sit down at the empty tables next to the water.

Sorry, these tables are for the Chinese Tour Groups.

    *sigh*

    You can sit up here.

    *sigh* Fine.

what would you like to drink?

Do you have any German beer?

    We only have Thai beer.

    *sigh* Fine.

    Beer Sing please.

    Only have Leo.

    *sigh*

At least it's quiet. I suppose.

    Up starts the Chinese karaoke.

    *sigh*

Oh look, here are the coach loads of Chinese tourists now.

    *sigh*

Can we go and help ourselves?

    Cannot.

    Do you have any beef?

    No have.

    Chicken?

    No have.

    *sigh*

How the fuck can anybody eat this shit.

Barely cooked on some metal plate, then it slides into luke-warm water, then half cooked on the metal plate again before it slides back into the water.

A relatively modest and not too elaborate expectation:

Would be okay with the mashed potato and a few German wheat beers.

    Reality:

    *sigh*

    Monday comfort food.

It's important to use the sausages as a barrier for the beans.

Armstrong, like the combo (got to have vinegar on the beans) but those Sausages look very sad imo.

    ^^^

I can't believe you're still using the sausage barrier method.

I've moved on to the mushroom/mash barrier... works a treat!

The sausages did suffer but everything else was already done so I just dealt with it.

    That's fvcking wrong Hal.

No sign of a volcano of beans in the mash Mendip, points deducted.
Armstong has nailed it with the sausage dam, keep them chips crispy.
Lulu that is one nightmare meal out, rather you than me.
I would have been on my toes as soon as them Chinese tourists pulled up.

I fancy burning down the kitchen tonight with Mac cheese and a meat feast.

You can't double up on peas and beans, that's f'kin terrible!!!

Armstrong, sorry mate, but you food looks sad and tired - those sausages and those chips look like they suffered a deep depression then committed suicide. Mendip's food looks pretty jolly, full of the joys of spring and ripe for the eating...
    Cycling should be banned!!!

^^^ And beans and peas together??? I have my standards!

^ Looks nice! What's the yellow stuff?

I don't know where lunch should go.... late breakfast or early dinner?

But anyway, the gardener made up a pork and bamboo soup today. It was really very nice, and a surprise for someone who thinks bamboo is only for pandas!

But the main event of the day... fish and chips (caught yesterday... A weekend fishing trip in Isaan) and cooked today by my dear wife...

    Who needs cod or haddock?

Firm, white flesh... any veg will do, but peas go very well!

^ the fish and chips look very good. Sack the gardener, his cooking skills are terrible...

I suspect Dilly's horrible yellow stuff was swede, I f'kin hate swedes and turnips. & the baked beans are well out pf place. The steak is making me hungry though, looks good.

It was 1 hour and 15 minutes at 190 roast pumpkin. Was pretty good actually

I hate turnips and swedes with a passion too. But beans do go well with steak

    Guessing it was pumpkin.

Lazy sod probably shoved it in the oven for a bit until soft. Spooned it out and mashed it.

    Can't see any seasoning either.

    --EDIT--

    ...Dilly beat me to it.
