And about what we pay too - usually the other side of the bay at Khao Takiap - and we usually have enough for two days. There's a pie shop too and last time i got two pasties and took Mrs Toot to the Monkey infested Wat. Pasties hanging on the hook in the bike and the little bastards homed straight in on them and nicked em, I gave the tourists a good laugh bellowing at the monkeys about how i'd been looking forward to plain fooking pies no chilli etc etc ..... stalked straight to the cafe we go to and ordered a Chang @ 09.30 whilst Mrs Toot ascended the 4 million steps to get told the usual bollix by some ex-druggy in an orange toga - so there was a bright side.

    ^^ One is a child!

The crabs were/are tiny - I caught a bigger one in a rock pool this morning with my daughter. A mouthful of meat each at most. I had one and gave up.

The fish was mine, with a bowl of soup. No rice.

The wife is now working through the crabs on the hotel room balcony. Looks as though there will be another meal tomorrow.

Anyway, where did you get our pic from?

My demonstration of losing it with Minkies probably did it along with knowing the couple who run it for years - no BIBs around there too - i got two down before she descended and all was a sea of calm.

Only two? Any real man would have stunned one of the monkeys with his fourth bottle of Chang while screaming he'd fook the monkey to give the monkey fooking syphiilus while spreading the monkey's legs over the back seat of his motorcycle.

I personally can't stand those flower crabs (aka blue swimmers). The "work to meat" ratio is just not worth it. Give me a UK brown crab any day of the week.

The chorizo was burned, and the smoked ham came with a Bretagne's field worth of raw onion on top.

A shame the By Hand Cafe don't have a pizza oven to help the pizza making process...

    Lu: Sure.
    MM: Fish and chips?
    Lu. Oh yeah, sure.

    40 minutes later:

    Bladdy locals.

    + 1 hour:

A wet and miserable day here in Phuket, so M'Sahib and I didn't want to wander too far for lunch. After watching Man United last night, I for one was in need of some comfort food, so off to the nearest Italian we went. Pizza each, then an injection of pasta. It worked.

Correct, for M'Sahib. Mine was Italian sausage with gorgonzola and onion. Pasta was spaghetti seafood for M'Sahib, and for me another injection of Italian sausage with tagliatelle.

Pizza looks excellent but why oh why do they always drown the pasta in sauce?

...agree: I blame the influence of Italian-American restaurants that serve pasta in puddles...
