Just so you know, I wasn't having a go (talking disparagingly) about your meal or food choices.
I like a good burger as much as the next guy ... it's just that I don't 'get' (IMHO) under-cooking mince.
But (obviously) others like their patty cooked differently to the way I like it. Live and let live I reckon.
My boys had their first burger the other day, they're 4yo.
One liked it, the other refused to eat more then a bite of it.
Cooked at a Restaurant. We do our best to avoid McDonalds.
Had a really bad experience eating out recently, we both ordered Salmon and what came out was a tiny portion that was a dry as a Nun's minge. Nothing's worse than overcooked fish!. It's rare to get a bad meal in Pattaya, so much competition in such a small area sees to that, but it does happen. Anyway, for a guaranteed nice bit of fish we cooked some at home.
^If anyone overcooks Salmon, they should be filleted and the fish allowed to live.

Salmon looks overcooked.
Only joking
Looks delish
^^
Looks good. In my experience, when salmon starts leaking white matter from between the flakes of flesh, that's overcooked.
Today's lunch at PYC. Tender lamb fillet on a bed of sweet potato mash, garnished with pak choy and sliced apple in a calvados sauce. Only meat I've eaten since last Sunday so to be savoured.
^
Excellent. Trust that you roasted the garlic bulb before adding to and mashing the potato?
Doing good. I have one meal a day, usually latish afternoon, alternating between soup and poached eggs on dry toasted wholemeal bread. Works for me. Sunday is my 'f**k it' day, though miss out any desserts, savouring instead a large Hennessey and a double espresso. Last Monday was something of an exception, being Songkran and all.
I'll show you my meat. Yes a USDA prime cut. Eat your heart out.
More on that later. In a bit of a roast now.
I like this thread. I had some delicious ribs. BBQ style; home-cooked.
I aways cook Salmon in the oven so I can't really see the white matter, but know what you mean and you're right. From having oven baked Salmon so many times, I just know that a big piece like that takes about 7 or 8 mins in a preheated 180. As learned from some cooking show or book long ago, no matter what cooking method is used the moment a toothpick that's had the point cut off can be pressed thru fish without resistance, it's done.

^they both look great. Would be happy to be served either.
The peas & tarter would just swing me.
Both look excellent.
both the salmon dishes look very nice....
Sunday roast beef
Forgot the Yorkshires.
Forget the sprouts and get on with the Yorkshire. If I close my right eye it looks great...
^ scraped the jar out for that
My Gran uses to make her own was really hot, can't even get anything close out a jar, shame she died over 20 years ago. Even the stuff advertised in jars as hot horseradish is always a let down. Might try and find a good recipe and have a go at making my own, can't be that hard.
