Sorry mate forgot that one ,,, I do,nt know if its an Issan thing or not ( no doubt someone else will ) the wife gets 6 duck eggs a week , boils up a saline / salt water mixture lets it cool right down then puts the eggs into a large plastic jar we have fills it to the top put the lid on and leaves it for weeks for the salt to permeate ? through the shells into the eggs ,,,,,,, I,m not sure if she cooks the eggs before or after this process,,,,,,,,, I would hard boil an egg and put salt on it ( but I dont tell her that ) no seriously they are delicious ,, allthough the same cannot be said about a by product of this eating experience

Not exactly for dinner but I did have this pork loin on a freshly baked roll that I purchased from the Ban Chang “Danish Bakery”, with gouda cheese, thinly sliced tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, and spicy mustard. The roll with the sliced pork loin and cheese on it I toasted in the toaster over. The pork loin I seasoned with the ever flavorful “McCormick’s Grill Mates Spicy Montreal Seasoning” and then grilled it on the Bar BQ.

    2 November 2011:

Today's lunch was plain but totally satisfying. At Villa SEA Traveler I cooked up a pork burger with two slices of sweet Spanish onions, sliced tomatoes, pickles topped with spicy mustard, catchup, and mayo on an over sized seeded roll from the local Danish Bakery.

and as if that wasn’t enough, I made some garlic mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy. this is what I would call a man’s lunch. You know, something that sticks to the ribs.

I took a 45 min swim to work off some of the calorie intake and as you say, probably no dinner this evening.

Looks great! And so does your lamb dinner. Yummy. I have a bad cold now so I can't smell or taste anything, but my appetite is still going.

Is your missus from the North Nigel?

Kao Soi is up there as one of my fave Northern Thai dishes. Quite difficult to get in Bangkok.
The best up North for me has to be Gaeng Hung Lae though (excuse the spelling as usual).

^ Just having a guess she was from the North 'cos of the Kao Soi.

Also nice to see you are mans man.
Keeping the TV remote close to you at all times.
Don't want those pesky females changing channels to Jeremy Kyle whilst eating.

Well thanks for that comment Betty actually for my part it did get better as I swamped it with gravy ,, I do like a good bit of the old brown windsor on me plate , but I thought for the sake of the pic I would picture it before I emptied the gravy boat on it
