I had some bacon, chicken breasts, butter and garlic and decided to get creative. I first made up a spiced garlic butter.

Then cut a slit in the breast and add a nice dollop of your very cold garlic butter.

Then wrap the breasts totally in nice bacon, I like to use Thai German its a bit thicker.

Ready for the oven, 185 for 30 to 35 minutes.

I like to cut them in half so the butter and garlic flows out and you can mix it with your rice pilaf and vegetables.

Picked up an Aussie tenderloin. Was going to rub on cracked pepper, salt and thyme, then wrap it in foil and slow bake before burning it on the pan.

But got to this stage and just ate it raw.

I was gonna post up pics of my chicken & cashew nuts yesterday but I overdid the veggies and they turned out sloppy and slimy. Still nice though

    Gonna tackle these later

    ^ There's an idea!
Imagine Nigel coming back through the Teakdoor next year to find a whole thread dedicated to bargains What a legacy.

Tonight the missus was cooking something a bit different.

2kg off left over beef and steak fat mixed up into Thai meatballs.

Similar to the ones you see on bbq sticks in Thailand..

I reckon those 3 heifers will cost more than £4.

Taxis,Entrance fees,10 pints of cider each and a donna kebab to seal the deal, you gotta be looking at a several hundred pounds and that's cash not weight

Pork shoulder steaks, marinated in teryaki & soy, and with lemon & herb dry rub

Basmati rice, scented with cardoman, a few carrots

All eaten drenched in extra hot scotch bonnet chilli sauce & soy sauce

Is it obsessive to wanna drench everything in such hot chilli?

I find the garlic the same in Thailand while the coriander/cilantro is overly strong
