^ Wow, very nice Joe. Thank goodness I'm not wearing my cammo shorts!

My daughter likes that American Cream Soda stuff as well.

Strangely enough we also had mushy peas last night... with fish an' chips.

I'm not sure if it was cod or haddock to be honest, as the label had come off in the freezer.

I used up the leftover batter with a couple of old bananas that were destined for the chicken run.

Even the chickens might have struggled to eat that!

It’s good that you poured a glass of water to have with your meal. But your supposed to drink it too!

^^ Where would be the excitement in showing a picture of an empty glass of water?

The fried bananas were a disappointment. The batter just slid off and the bananas burnt, but pudding was rescued with a dollop of coconut icecream and a drizzle of golden syrup.

We get really good fried bananas (guay tod?) at most traffic lights in Korat. I don't know how they manage to cook them so well, most of the sellers look like right idiots.

Don’t reflect too much on that point, the introspection might destroy you.

I have to say, Mendo, that while I'm not always a fan of the traditional British stuff you post, your pies and fried fish are top notch.

Every once in a while, something magic happens chez Mendy.

Not unlike life at Ashton Gate, I imagine.

(Oh, and great to see mushy peas in those photos too!)

^ Kind words indeed. So is that a yae or a nae on seeing my pork chops tonight?

Anyway, I don't think that City going up this year is by any means a certainty, so maybe we will meet up at Ashton Gate next year!

^ Have you saw his posts where he admits to wanking in front of his gardener or having Arsenal as his second team yet?

    Has the man no shame?

I mean, some things you just *DO NOT* admit to.

    Jaysus.

Confessing that you are a closet Arsenal fan in public.

At least the al fresco wanking doesn't sound as bad now.

    ^^, ^, I've just seen this, FFS.

Back in George Graham's day I knew all the Arsenal team's names, visited Highbury on several occasions and even had a ferret called Gooner.

There was nothing closet about it.

    And I wasn't
wanking in front of the gardener
... the family was out and I was upstairs in my office, door shut to keep the dogs out, having some private time when the gardener burst in with some question or other.

It won't happen again. These days I lock the door!

Anyway, last night I treated the daughter to a family favourite. It must be the first time we've had bangers and mash for a couple of years.

OK, so the sausages were a bit burnt and the mash was a bit soggy, but the beans were heated to perfection.

Your burger looks world-class when compared to the crap in those two posts.

The cut looks shit quality, but you finally cooked to a proper degree of doneness and the sides look good. Good job!

Joe, you really need to give Gousto a try.

Drop me a PM and I'll send you an invite code.

For every person you invite, who makes a first order, they put £30 into your account towards your next orders.

Honestly can't go wrong, the food quality and recipes were spot on. I'd be on my second week but had to delay it cos going to Angola.
    Lang may yer lum reek...
