^ Didn't think there'd be much interest on here for Bognor Regis
    or the Costa del Solihull

No wonder Brits don’t like steak. I made the mistake of ordering this abortion.

thrice cooked hard chips & a cold, thin slice of meat.

Why is 'twice' acceptable but not 'thrice'?

Dunno, perhaps you’re Norwegian buddies feel threatened? Just tell them there’s English or there’s wrong. Nowt in between.

ETA I didn’t even notice the lack of plate I was so pissed off with what I’d been served. When the bill come I noticed an automatic tip had been added too. When did UK start doing this?

oh it was. Cold butter on cold steak with cold chops that break apart when you try to put a fork into them.

I will never order a steak in Britain again!

They don't have great teeth snubby. If you served them up an wagyu steak it might as well been put in a blender.

Hey Willy you should of travelled 200miles north to Hells Kitchen!
Tonight in honour of the 45th and 47th president of the good ole USofA I opted for a 425g Aberdeen Angus rump steak with good ole Yankee baked beans and wedges.

Seasoned and fries for 2 minutes either side then wrapped in foil and left to rest in the airfryer with the wedges.

    10/10

This inauguration brings a tear to a glass eye!

    In God we trust!

I was saved by God to make America great again

    Hallelujah!

    Americas decline is over.

    God bless America

Do you mean your gaff? Hell no, I respect my body too much to do that.

but thanks for the offer anyway.

and left to rest in the airfryer with the wedges.
you do realise that the air fryer keeps, like, cooking the food?

2 mins each side was perfectly for that cut.

air fryer for half an hour destroyed it

Invitation to Maasai Warrior Woman's for a belated new year dinner, but I have a rival for her heart now

    Dinner-20250120_212940-jpg

In the form of a toy poodle she got for her son for Christmas

    Dinner-20250120_213103-jpg

Dressing the chicken in Paprika before bunging it in the oven

    Dinner-20250120_215136-0-jpg

She then got steaks out and stared frying them, which had me a bit confused

    Dinner-20250120_215845-jpg

Turns out the chicken was for her son the next day which was great as I eat chicken every day in my curry so a bit of red meat goes down dandy

The 4 legged friend took a keen interest in my wounded knee I got from a battle with a barbed wire fence in the forest in the dark last week. The healing power of dog saliva really needs a TD doctoral thesis

    Dinner-20250120_221620-jpg

After frying the steak she then turned them into an African stew which uses some very tasty herbs and spices that remained vague and mysterious despite my persistent enquiries

    Dinner-20250120_223337-jpg

Served with Kenyan chapatis (courtesy of the Indian diaspora in Nairobi but modified for the Kenyan palate), which I had heard of before but never tasted.

    Dinner-20250120_222338-jpg

They are more oily and croissanty than standard Indian chapatis and more yummy I would say.

    Dinner-20250120_224349-jpg

I offered to help with the dishes but I was not given permission to lift a finger.

    Dinner-20250120_232112-jpg

I found these Fedol Multi-Preg tablets behind the coffee machine and googled them while she was in the shower.
