There's only two types of tinned food I will eat.

    Tinned Sardines
    Tinned baked beans

Btw we're you delivered with forceps?

And at least two others...tinned tomatoes and mushy peas (you don't have to actually open the tin yourself to be eating tinned , dimbo).

^ Wow, 30 minutes well spent!

On Monday I had 10 stitches in my foot and to memory, I think we must have eaten leftovers for dinner... once the anaesthetic had worn off it was so painful that I hit the Johnny Walker painkiller.

By Tuesday things were looking better, so I made a quiche. Easy to put together when you have pre-prepared frozen pastry in pie tins in the freezer, and a daughter who can break a few eggs. All I had to do was fry up some bacon and onions, not too bad to do on one foot.

Nice! You can't beat a fresh quiche.

Quiche is a family favourite however this wasn't up to my usual standards, a result of still being on strong painkiller.

And there was something else wrong... those peas.

I rarely criticise peas, but was glad to finally get rid of a huge batch of freezer-burnt frozen peas, a consequence of bulk buying during the pandemic.

    They just weren't right.

Luckily by last night things were back on track... off the strong painkiller and brand new frozen peas... with sausages and onion gravy!

Look at that rich, vibrant emerald colour!

Mendy, I like the way you just skin and boil/ season potatoes, not a lot of people do that nowadays but it works well with a few dishes, better than mash or jackets

Nice Joe, I hope the interior didn't fail you. Hard to cook it just right.

Why are you serving gravy and sauce in those little cups? Do enjoy the extra washing up? Going forthe meal from the front bar look?

It reminds of a replacement saddle I bought for my bicycle a few years ago.
