That's either a game of Scrabble in the background, or a box of Scrab medicine. When was your last passport run again?

    Either way, top man.

There was a sign over the serving area saying '£1.99 for XL plate'....They also have a lavish Xmas 3 course menu with all the bells and whistles... but I really don't see the point of chucking money away when you can put yourself into a food coma by just juggling that one normal sized plate with a height on par with your average sized Eddo Cheddo back to the table

I thought faggots and pays was a Black Country thing? I see you've paid nearly a fiver for what would cost Cyrille's mom 1 pount 19 pence here in Farm Foods nowadays... after the price hike
You seem like the kind of decadence indulging wayfarer that Toby Carvery are pinning there Xmas 3 course menu and XL plates on

^^ The 1.99 is just for a bigger empty plate yer daft kunto

^ I'm sure the wife can make her own version cheaper

I noticed you bought a load of lamb the other day and you like your offal.

Have you ever given much thought to spending an afternoon rolling faggots at home?

Talking of cheap, my oven packed up a week or so ago so I went Black Friday internet shopping and the best deal I could find was for this ceramic topped leccy oven that can't be delivered til the New Year, leaving us a bit fukked for Xmas, although these 2 would rather eat rice, so I've come up with this cunning plan where we instead go for a Sunday Tower Carvery on the Saturday(3 quid cheaper than Sunday) prior to Chrimbo.

I got an extra 20 percent off for buying their vouchers too

    #fokkershitthejackpottoo

May well be stomach soup for Chrimbo yet

I don't really want to risk the lamb in case it goes wrong.

Interestingly enough there is another meaning to the word faggot...

... in British English the word comes from the way the dish is prepared and presented. The British word 'faggot' is an archaic term for a bundle of sticks. For this dish, a ground meat mixture is wrapped in some kind of fat—often caul fat but bacon in this recipe—before cooking, hence the name implying something that is bundled.
So I may make pork faggots wrapped in bacon at some point, to keep things authentic.

I clicked on that link Reg and got a bit of a twitcher about the carrot puree. Further investigation revealed you need lamb heart lamb inner bits and pieces.it does sound quite nice but fuck trying to knock it up yourself . Leave that to Mr brains.

WTF? Literally every American household has a stove, either gas or electric, that has an oven. Mind-boggling to think of a household without one.

I don't think I've ever been in a British house that doesn't have one either.

I reckon Dil went native in Thailand and has probably eschewed a dining table too.

Brave man... clicking on a Reg Dingle link about faggots.

It's hard enough to get lamb shoulder, shanks etc in Korat but lamb offal would be impossible.

When I was a kid we always had lamb kidneys with a mixed grill, but they seem to be impossible to get even in the UK these days.

These faggots thingos basicly look like a haggis lite? The recipe looked like there was a 50/ 50% mix of offal and meat. I approve. Where can I get some without going to korat I've already got the peas

Ka Pom, it's more Aroy on the floor, khrup.

Dining rooms are expensive here down South, so I made a breakfast bar and we share a tray.

Looking in the garden, it looks like we've procured a new outdoor dining table. It could well be Mendy's mom's with this storm.
