^ The left side of the plate looks delicious... the rights side looks like you were trying to recreate some kind of Soviet dish from the 60s.
Why ever didn't you just put a portion of peas and a fried tomato there instead?
The right side of the pic reminds me of what my bellend once resembled 2 weeks after a long weekend in Pattaya.
Nothing that a bit of cream won't sort.
Steak looks good, but definitely needing chips instead of VD mash.
Note how fluffy the mash is Mendy. Nothing like that lumpy stodge you knocked up the other day...and the magic ingredient...
Lard
Kenyan style chicken stew for dinner ...with extra peas!
I earned my victuals by removing all the viruses from Miss Ameru's hard drive and getting all her windows updates installed
The usual extended family weekend gathering of Sunday last.
Interesting banquet Jeff, makes a change from the other meals posted on here.
^^^ Nice, i'm not too keen on the stinky stuff with the pea aubergines
^ Yeah, the same as that Mike but pretty much everything else I'd eat. It looks great.
I love that there's not one matching plate or bowl... exactly the same here if the wife throws an Isaan spread together!
It looks like one of my favourites at the back there - if not my favourite - pad prik gaeng with the long beans. I used to eat that almost every day.
Stick an egg on top and I'd be there faster than you could say "Strangeways 11 for the 2023 Champions League."
^ Wow, no warning either.
That's not cricket!
Off the grill tonight.....
Mesquite seasoned hand rubber pork tenderloin and an olive oil, salt and course ground pepper potato. No veggies tonight. Had them for lunch.
After reading this I thought " Yea Chili, I haven't made that for a while.
..Got some of the domestic beef loin from Macro, cleaned the fat and cube it. The thick with this Thai beef is to slow shimmer it for a while, three hours in this instance, but after that it melt in your mouth.
So first brown the beef with onions, add tomatoes (can) chili powder, (Cumin , chili pepper flakes, paprika. garlic powder) salt and pepper, and chopped up cilantro. The beans and chopped up bell peppers go in later otherwise by the time the thai beef is soft They would have melted.
For chili I like the green bell peppers . but this time I had yellow and red also so I used them.
I had my first lunch with a side of French fries, tomorrow will have some with rice. Will freeze the rest for later.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
Those peas look absolutely excellent Looper.
Today in Korat it was quiche city... with homemade pastry.
This is quite an operation when you can only fit one quiche at a time in your convection oven.
One into the freezer... one off to a classmates house... but one left for tonight.
The biggest dilemma about quiche is the accompaniment... peas or baked beans?
I've always believed that you should have peas with a fresh quiche but beans the next day.
And this IS a money shot!
I've always liked it sloppy.
Not so sure about the runnyness.
However good call on the peas vs beans to accompany it.
