^^ So that's a 'no' then? :)
Being a chef, the lady has Mondays and Tuesdays off. So she made clam chowder, which happens to be distinctly American. Before you unleash the hounds, she has told me not to post the food she makes at home online because she makes it just for the two of us and does not plate it the way she would at work. Do not let her find out that I posted this, or I will be in the real doghouse. :)

Voodoo Doughnut - The magic is in the hole! -
That's the place that started the bacon doughnut. The place is off the chain. Every time I am down in Portland to visit Jeff at his moms house in the basement, I stop off at Voodoo. :)
Some of their wickedry...

chowder is never about presentation its about taste and quality which a picture don't tell you - looks great, some crusty bread and you are golden.
Agreed and we had a nice crusty baguette, and she even went so far as to pan fry two pounds of lovely Alaskan cod that we bought at the local fishmonger. It was damn good, but as you mentioned with the chowder, a home done fish fry in a pan is never as pretty as in a restaurant. The lady is very aware of this and if I post up some of these dishes she really takes issue. Almost like me posting nude pics of her online. :)
Thanks mate and Merry Christmas to all!
I've had a couple of crusty baguettes in my time as well.
And Merry Christmas to you mate, but back to the food...
If I was offered that 'last meal' on death row, for some horrendous crime such as 'uxoricide' for example, without a doubt it would be steak and kidney pie.

I just can't imagine a better meal.

That does looks the dog's bollocks!
We ordered In tonight as it was too late to start cooking. Just the usual Tom yum, pad krapow etc etc.
but afterward I got stuck into something I found at a stall in Central festival - sea grapes.
I’ve only tried these once before but scored a large bag for 180bt with some dipping sauces.

Lovely stuff and after giving it a Google it turns out it’s really good for you. An interesting decoration to a good plate.
No idea why my pics are turning sideways all of a sudden.
Yeah I don't post my dinners either cos my wife's a Dunlop chef
I'm still trying to recover from Mendip saying he would choose a steak and kidney pie for his last meal on death row ahead of a Great British curry. :)
Might be an idea for a thread there actually...
^
why?
youve already provided the winning answer.
only a nice Cassoulet might come close.
For us Brits, no doubt a curry of some sort would come out on top (maybe only a slap up Italian meal could challenge it for me), but what about the yanks, aussies, kiwis etc?
I reckon Mexican would feature quite highly for the Americans, but I have no idea about the others...

Can you even understand just how genuinely accurate this is, or are you too busy checking your own sphincter out on this topic too?
Anyway I thought you'd be putting Egyptian food at the top of your list :)
We just look at your pictures for your weekly eulogies to our food.
Those British pubs and Siamburi's must make a right wedge out of Pattaya's very own British food enthusiast. :smileylaughing:
