That looks to me like what I call Sprouting Broccoli. My father used to grow purple sprouting broccoli, it comes in a couple of colours.

It is softer than the cauliflower-like broccoli that you see in Thailand. I prefer sprouting broccoli with English roasts, if I have a choice.

    I don't think I have seen broccolini.

Apologies, I first posted the box in the lunch thread but time got away from me. Arrived back home this Sunday evening after beating everyone 600-0 at football and this seemed like a great dish to recover my energy quickly.

30mins in the oven and every mouthful is a delight.

    Beans and sausages..

Oh come off it snubby - you've chowed down on a lot worse than that.

He even managed to put them in the oven rather than the wave.

That looks like bland fare, gotta say.

Did you eat it admiring the 'mating swans' bath towels?

    Baked italian Sausage,
-First grind 3 kilos of pork shoulder, I know I can buy ground pork , but they put all sort of cpap in it. I rather make my own, and it costs the same.
-Mix the ground pork with Italian sausage spices I bought at Lazada, add fennel seeds. Let mix stand in refrigerator covered over night for the spices to settle.
    -stuff sausage casings

Vacuum pack and freeze for later use,
    Dinner-sausage2-jpg
Soft bake the rest so that they are easy to slice.
    Dinner-dausage3-jpg
Then chop three large onions, there large bell peppers.
In food processor chop Tomatoes, Garlic, and Cilantro, to make a salsa mix, Slice Sausages, Mix all in a baking pan, pour a couple of cans of crazed tomatoes on top, salt and pepper, and mix,
sprinkle generous amounts of paprika on top and bake.

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Hard to find Italian sausage, and many other European sausages, and when you do they are expensive.
Very easy to make when you have the time.
Now that I am retired I have Time
I bought a grinder sausage maker attachment for my Kitchenaid stand mixer. But I only use the grinder attachment, I find the much cheaper hand crank sausage stuffing marine to be alot easier to use and much faster. .
If you are going to get into sausage making get one of those and get the larger caposity one. I wish I had.

    ^

Bought a back up mixer last year, from a pie maker in Patong who was going out of business. I keep it in the outside kitchen, and unlike my regular mixer (inside kitchen), it has a mincing attachment. Just need to source an actual sausage piper and of course some skins.

Thats a nice stand mixer. I have the identical, mincing attachment for mine. Even though mine has the pipes for sausage stuffing, I dont use it. It is a pain to use, I have one like in the picture below. very easy to use, and you can control the speed the sausage mix comes out, so that you don't burst the casing. I got the casings at Macro. It was so much of it that I separated it into smaller vacuum sealed bags and froze it.

PS: I brought mine from the US. I realise that the one shown in the picture above is from china, but it is worth the wait. The ones I saw sourced locally at lazada all look like garbage.

Must be years since I've had a Chinese takeaway.

    Ribs in Peking sauce
    Sweet and sour chicken balls
    Egg fried rice
    Chinese chips
    Prawn crackers
    Tasted damn reasonable..

And some good luck in the post..

On the other hand, I hope the cracker-message comes true
