Level of politeness when broaching the subject:

    1) Nid
    2)Ed
    3) Schnubby-wubby.

2 and 3 may possibly be the wrong way around.

    Cheesy spud looks tops, mind.

    Nice grub Mendip!

I got a 2kg joint of pork tonight for 46pence.

Also a giant Melton Mowbray pork pie for the dog at 11 pence.

The fridge and freezer is bulging with meat.

Stired clear of the reduced price seafood though.

Those are processed oven crinkle cut chips as opposed to my home made ones.

Nice steak and mushrooms though, what's the sauce?

^Thinking the mushrooms and sauce are both from the same tin, looks very much like what we use to have on toast as kids!

Looks like air-fyer chips that haven't been sprayed with a little oil first, or cooked long enough.

Gravox chicken gravy powder, added sliced sauted mushrooms.

frozen fries thrown into the oven for 30 mins because had no potatotoes in the house to make proper fries.

    Mayo and mustard

probably more worthy of the Blokes cooking thread than dinner thread, but it was a line call, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Made up a nice pork stew. In my new kitchen and in my new cast iron pot. Happy

    Dinner-img_20210314_164656-jpg

Went rustic style whole pearl onions and baby spuds. Heat it up and eat in a couple of hours.

Fun cooking in the new kitchen.

That stew looks Great, i actually licked my chops when i saw it.
Those Cast Iron Pots are great. I made bread in it for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and it came out great. also I used my cast Iron frying pan to make pizza in the oven, and it was the best pizza I ever made. forget pizza stones etc
I as soon as I get back to Thailand, (next couple of months I hope) .I an ordering a cast iron pot from Lazada. (Unless I find it locally)
I am considering sending a small container with some of my stuff to Thailand from FL. If I do I will bring mine , along with dome of my baking tools and pots.
Again , your stew look great, I can just taste those slow stewed onions

PS: love your kitchen and countertops. I was not There when our house was finished, and the wife went with the tile countertops. When ever I mention spending money her ass tightens up LOL , Unless of course it;'s a Tory Bush hand bag, at which point my ass tighens up LOL

Gave up on big ovens here about 8 years ago. Have used a version of an Electrolux 46 ltr. electric oven since. Does a bigger chicken than yours, nice sized roasts, and big pots of stew, its on the left next to a 36 ltr. microwave.

If you can, ship your cast iron. The biggest mistake we made when moving from BKK to the PI was selling our cast iron cookware.

^ Is that like one of those steamboat things? Looks good.

I've never been sure what the difference is between a broth, a soup or a stew.

Anyway, this was a lamb one.
