Well I must say, your pies look decidedly anaemic compared to Nige's effort there, Charleyboy

    And the rubarb isn't ripe.

Shit, my delicate finger hovered over the click thingy for that song. Don't do it, don't do it....

Well, that's me acting odd on the bus tomorrow...

Tonight I went for my favourite pan fried Pork Chop with Sweet & Sour Peppers (posted before) But I added some Au Gratin Potatoes with Roasted Carrots & Potatoes.

I don't want to blow my own trumpet but I will. This is the best damn meal I've ever cooked in my life.

Some of you will moan and say "Where's the gravy?" But there is enough vinaigrette from the sweet and sour peppers. (Underneath the pork chop)

^ You ruined yours. You didn't use a rectangular plate like what he did.

I live on a street with three pizzeria restaurants and a posh french one within smelling distance. Gosh, the wafting of garlic etc. eminating from the four corners just got too much for me.

So i tootled to the closest, which in fact as they are all within tootling distance was the busiest. I got a seafood pizza to go with extra garlic.

Now, I had been on the piss a bit earlier so thought that i would eat half of it and then fall asleep.

I ate the whole damn thing, and am still awake at half eleven.

No cold pizza for me at five in the morn.....

No pics, forgot to take the camera.
Went to an Italian restaurant in Dusseldorf last night. Ordered fiochetti with some sort of filling (my German isn't good enough for me to have translated that word, but I thought I'd take a chance) and a gorgonzola and pistachio sauce. When it came the filling was sweet and crunchy. Thought it tasted like apple, but I know the German for apple & that wasn't what was on the menu. Trying to figure out what the hell it was - not fennel, no aniseed, what does celeriac taste like? -couldn't get it. The sauce was gorgeous and after the surprise of the first few bites, it was really enjoyable. Just googled it and the pasta was filled with pear! Very strange, but enjoyable combination

Tonight's fare. After having fallen off the weight loss wagon lately (thanks to having mates in town which meant eating burgers and other assorted shit at 02:45am while pissed to the eyeballs on beer), it's time to drop some Kilos again. And this sort of plate will help. Oven baked Salmon with mixed fresh Cauli, Broccoli, Baby Carrots, Asparagus, Cabbage, and Beans . There's 3 good parts to this: you can eat till you're full, it's quick/easy to slap together, and despite the usual crappy pic it tastes pretty good!.
