    Breakfast

They say "breakfast" is the most important meal of the day. In addition to my cup of hot Lipton's Spiced Tea, I had some good old American freshly made home fried potatoes along with some fruit, breads, meat, and cheese. Not the "breakfast of champions" that I would have eaten just a few years ago but still, this will do.

Add descriptions and pictures of your breakfast.

The potatoes were fresh and sliced at home then fried in vegetable oil with a little garlic salt and Cajun seasoning sprinkled on just after coming out of the fry pan.

The bread was a seeded rye bread purchased from the Dusit Gourmet Bakery at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Pattaya (90 baht for the large loaf), the meat was an Italian Salami and the Cheese a Gouda both purchased from the FoodLand in Pattaya.

Unless I'm on vacation, I have two bananas or a bowl of high-fiber cereal, a can of water-packed tuna, and 650ml of non-fat milk every morning (and I've been having that for many years)- boring, but good early morning fuel and it's easy to digest and hit the gym for an early morning training session.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Oh, I don't wake up thinking, 'Yeah- breakfast time!'- I just wanna get a good start to the morning (which will be the first of five or six small meals over the course of the day- I count 2 or 3 protein shakes as 'meals')- sometimes getting that tuna down ain't easy (the cat is always lurking nearby in case there are any leftovers).

^ I've finished the front portion around the veranda and have put another new polycarbonate roof on the pergola. Now painting some roof tiles and that's it for me as we have a contractor coming to finish the rest.

I'll kill myself if I try and paint the second floor........best let someone else do it.

Good effort LT and wise to have a contractor come in and finish up the difficult portion. Now go get a healthy breakfast and a smoke. .

yea I guess. especially for breakfast. I do like tuna fish salad in a sandwich for lunch though. no worries as I have no cat. I do (or I did until yesterday when I saw it, captured it and and took it outside the perimeter wall) have a frog who was eating my fish in the fish bowl.

here is the frog that no longer is in the the plant bowl near the fish bowl.

Let me know if you want to trade- my cat is a mean, nasty bastard (though he gets by on his good looks) and I'd be happy to mail him to you.

    BTW- that's a toad, but it's not a deal-breaker.

One of these and a glass of fruit and vegatable juice for me.

Mind you, that's only during the week when I have a routine. Come the weekend when I'm trying to shake Friday night's exessive beer off, I'll probably go for a Big Mac or somet..

Today is Saturday, so a real breakfast should arrive in 10 mins or so.

The rest of the week is fruit & yoghurt. Nice, but a bit boring every day.

As I have my son with me and it is the weekend, we just had some nice salmon scrambled eggs with a bit of rye bread toast. Often we would have some fried eggs with smoked ham (i highly recommend the swiss chalet brand available everywhere but get the smoked stuff).

During the week I try to pile a load of fruit into the blender and down that (man that cleans you out! I had a GF over and she went for a crap 3 times in the hour laughing about it- Kee yer!!) but I struggle a bit with that as coffee and a bit of toast with Promite is all I normally like (Aussie stuff like Vegemite).

Whatever it is coffee is essential for me.

I enjoy a fresh guava myself and may even stop by the fruit stand outside the 7/11 and get some today.

I drank my breakfast last night.
Usually save an ale or two for the Saturday morning changover, but managed to get in a pre-emptive strike last night.
Coffee and smokes just don't cut the mustard.

Since I began living in Thailand food not my major focus but I start my day 3 glasses of water followed by a bowl of oatbran with unsweetened soy milk and chopped banana or apple. Green tea the go if I get around to it.
By having this energy starter to my day I am not looking for snacks.
Lunch is normally chicken or duck noodle soup with loads of chlli with a very small evening dinner.
Never been healthier since I basically gave up western food that just bloats me to buggery and not suitasble for the warmer climate we have here in Udon Thani.

    Your right mate.

I have a house full of kids and they ordered Maccas so I'm devouring 2 sausage McMuffins which are about their only product worthwhile eating.
