Actually, as black pudding goes, it looks OK. I only eat it occasionally these days, however when I lived in Spain I ate their equivalent, Morcilla, quite often.

I'm ok with chili sauce for this one.

I don't see how it is possible to eat a) a breakfast or b) anything resembling a breakfast sandwich without brown sauce.

Fail. Breakfast (or a pre-mid morning snack) is always better with bacon, beans and brown sauce. The 3 Bs.

Here's some of a recent brekky from a hotel near Heathrow Airport (I later added another sausage and two pieces of buttered toast):

Interestingly, and for our American friends here, especially Snubby, there were 2 pairs of yanks in there at the same time: a couple and a mother and daughter. I did a quick scan of their plates and 3 of the 4 had beans on them (only the older mother didn't)!

What do you say about that then, Snubs?

Taking the mia for a fry up this Friday, any suggestions aside from the Swan which I am never going back to.

A simple one this morning but it has definitely done the trick.

    She's a good egg!

And so we enjoyed binge watching 'Death in Paradise' with breakfast and coffee.

Most enjoyable it was too. I don't know where the wife got to, mind.

To be honest boiled eggs aren't the easiest breakfast in bed to eat, but as the quarterly bedding wash is soon coming up I just went for it.

Marriage is give and take after all. I didn't even mention that the egg was upside down... yes, I've spent 15 years of marriage turning my boiled eggs over without a word of complaint. That's what being a good husband is all about.

And yes, to pre-empt any comments, tomorrow I am going around the house and cleaning every single fan guard. Sometimes it takes a photo to really see these things.
Whose mum called this eggs and soldiers?

    Curried egg on toast.

    Simple, yet effective.

    Got home around 6am.

    Woke up around 1pm.

Breakfast at 2:30pm is a bowl of reheated homemade spaghetti.

    Simple but effective.

The birds singing outside sound like chainsaws, so will go back to bed and have a second breakfast of cold pizza at around 8pm, before Friday night beach cocktails.

    It is Friday isn't it?
