Occasionally, M'Sahib makes me what she calls 'egg pan' essentially some sausage meats which are cooked and dropped into a couple of eggs in a small frying pan. Some cut toast usually makes an appearance. This morning's presentation from her.

    ^ Ohhh God i couldn't.

However i am strongly considering Katie's favourite, options being

    1. Army base stew (budae jjigae)
    2. Hong Kong-style Spam and egg macaroni soup
    3. Spam, potato and green chilli fritters

    and last but not least

    4. Spam ‘sisig’

I managed to get hold of some smoked bacon on my jollies recently (not the proper British cut, but it'll do) and have just had bacon and egg on toast.

I know we are prone to the odd disagreement on here, and on occasions we Brits have fallen out with Americans (and even Aussies and Kiwis) due to their jealousy of our food, but we're an easygoing bunch and we understand. We get it and we forgive you.

However, surely there must be one thing we can agree on: bacon and eggs for breakfast (I'd throw an English sausage in there too) is the finest breakfast known to (wo)man. We may disagree on the extras, but there is no equal to the basics. This is gospel. Sans doute.

Can we agree on that, at least, my fellow Teakdoorians?

Sausage gravy, bits of sausage, bit of flour and the oil from frying them up and milk. Though we Yanks use sausage patties.

I was about to say that this is a job for one man on here - and we all know who - until AO stepped up to the plate with a sensible suggestion.
