A current favorite, boiled eggs (from yesterday and re-warmed in the micro for 20 seconds which will explain why they look that way) on a thick slice of toast that's been drizzled with EVOO. And some fresh OJ, local oranges are really nice for this but they're small and it's a ton of work. Fortunately, I have a really good juice extractor at home and she was happy to spend the time squeezing and bottling a few kilos of them.

    Very nice, well seasoned...

Always nice to have a top grade juice extractor (apparently Papillion is very happy with his PH at the moment in that regard...).

Pancakes this morning...from a home made batter...a new experience for me since it is so easy to get a dry premix. Anyway, the wife enjoyed hers with butter and a passionfruit jam made by Crossroads Nan. I went the butter and Nan province honey option. Included a shot of the third pancake in the pan...perfection, even if I do say so myself.

Nicely done. I never buy pre made pancake mix, it's just as easy to make your own.

    ^ Same as.

I just use the same mix as I do for my Yorkshire puds

Same amount of milk to eggs to flour and a pinch of salt.

X2. Some might argue the bacon is under-done but that's perfectly cooked for me.

Actually I think I'd call them more savoury scones ootai but that would likely confuse more folks. But still tasty. BTW, this morning I basted them with sizzling bacon fat after the garlic butter was applied. You only live once...

It's been many moons since I had had bacon. Living vicariously through this thread.

The only way to get the perfect Yorkshire. Equal amounts, not one or two eggs.

    Cheers, TP

Less carbs today. Could be none but I'm too lazy to check up on the mushrooms.

The wife had a surprise for me this morning!

It would have been perfect with a couple of sausages, a slice of black pudding, some mushrooms and maybe a hash brown or two... and a few less beans.

If there's one thing that married life has taught me... it's not to mention details like that.

That looks like half a can less than you normally use with peas and beans in your dinner threads.

She's done well there. Buy her an airfryer qnd you can have frozen Richmonds and Birds eye hash browns on the plate in 10 minutes

Great for quick meals of frozen nuggets, burgers, fish fingers and chips etc for the littleun too
