This morning I had a three inch slice of Marks and Spencer Cherry Genoa cake. It is mostly fruit with a minimum amount of cakey stuff holding the fruit together. This was washed down with a cup of Kenco Rich instant coffee. My dog Snowy wanted a dog chew but we did not have ones he liked. He refused a Pedigree meat strip and a similar one bought at Aldi.
I am not certain but I think I saw a bird just now. I am dressed in what I call my "dog suit", comprising trainer bottoms and a sport shirt, because I am not going out this morning until I pick my wife up from work. I am wearing shoes, not slippers, in readiness for that journey. I have set my Alexa device to remind me to turn the gas on at 9.30 am so that our pork joint will be cooked to perfection so that it may be eaten before the football begins. The apple sauce has already been made and fills a large basin. This because I shall be eating some with cream as a dessert at teatime.
I could swear that was another bird. Storm Callum blew directly from the south and not from the southwest. In consequence a willow tree was felled by the extreme wind. I did not plant this tree, he sort of came by nature as an interloper. Perhaps it was karma that he was blown down. The rest of the trees, not illegals, remain standing proud.
No hedgehogs this year. The fox is due soon.
Would you like to see a picture of my fallen willow ? My neighbour wants it for his log burner.
