Headworks was greened due to not having beans on his plate. :)

Had some London broil left over from my dinner the other night so decided to make a steak and egg hash. But I forgot to take a pic when it was first plated so this is a quick and dirty shot. Forgive the ugly plate. :)

I for one would regret posting that up...:smileylaughing:
Looks like "bubble n squeak ".
A British dish made from leftovers.
Doesn't look pretty but tastes great!
Bubble and Squeak is something I have not eaten since I was a kid- might have to try and make it, remember it being pretty good.
How pissed would you have to be to eat that?
Fair play for posing the pic:rolleyes:
Bell rings in the basement

Breakfast served for mommy's special wee laddie:)

Well I see Jack has changed his sheets after pissing himself last night and posting it on TD. I wonder if he remembers doing that.
:smileylaughing:
It's been a while since I posted here, but I'm still eating breakfast, so here goes:

Ham and scrambled eggs on English muffins with home fries and a spicy sausage.
Ok, where's the Idiot's Guide to Posting Regular Sized Pics?
PH figured it out. Select the pic as normal from your computer. Then click the pic and select full size..
Looks great qwerty, welcome back!
Bit of a one pan breakfast this morning...mushrooms sauteed in garlic butter hiding underneath.

Good stuff!
Chuck the entire contents of the fridge in the pan, shall be doing something similar in about 10 hours.
The pan breakfast of post 2362 does look nice.
I did a lazy Korean this morning as the wife's away.
A couple of eggs and some strange Korean ham/spam type things that I just thew in the pan for a few minutes. Basic, but tasted ok...

Keep forgetting to get the pork belly at Makro but have ascertained they do have whole bellies and not just the strips I used the first time. Might also have to wait until the homestay dies done a bit since space in the refrigerator has been hard to find at times through this month.
There ya go, Bets.
Spam. The real man's meat by-product. ;)
....and the attempt to recreate it the world over.
Quite versatile - spam scramble, spam steak and mash, spam and tofu stew, spam vege stir-fry, deep fried tempura spam, or a snack-like raw spam, etc....:puke:
:)
^Jeez this thread would be so fucked without your input Jeff, it really needs someone with a high-culinary background (who's on the hunt for a BOH job in Pattaya ) to comment so often but add nothing . And a vomiting emoticon from someone who worships human waste?. You know what comes next...
While your fucking off, I'll add something constructive.

^ Looks damn good.
^^ Very nice!
^^^ Looks very nice... what I'd give for a breakfast like that right now!
I'm currently having the pleasure of being into my eighth week in a Scandic hotel in Norway.
Norway is one of the wealthiest countries on the planet, and I wouldn't be surprised if it is THE wealthiest country per capita. To their credit, they haven't let that new found wealth go to their heads and have stayed very grounded on the culinary front.
This is the breakfast I've been confronted with every day for the past 50 mornings.

I feel that a few more pics are necessary to really give a feel for the Norwegian culinary experience...
What better way to start a cold Norwegian winter day than a bowl of porridge. They disguise it well, but yes, this is actually porridge.
https://teakdoor.com/members/mendip-a...1-scandic2.jpg
The trick here is to cook it the night before and then leave to stand for a few hours to harden. I said to the cook (a very loosely used term) that he should slice the porridge to make it easier to handle. Norwegians don't do sarcasm, unfortunately.
If you don't fancy the porridge, a full Norwegian is on offer.
Starting with 'chicken bacon'. I'd never heard of this before, but apparently in Norway 120 quid a night buys you two single beds shoved together in a room the size of a shoe box, but not real bacon. I was told that real bacon is too expensive - you wouldn't think that Denmark is just next door. But hey, who needs real bacon. An expert cook can get the chicken bacon to curl attractively at the edges.

I like the occasional fried egg with breakfast. And I've fibbed a bit... there is some bacon available at breakfast. The Norwegians like to stick a bit of streaky bacon fat on the fried eggs. If you're vegetarian, tough. After these eggs have been left out a while to cool, the bacon fat welds itself to the egg and can't easily be removed. At least not without breaking the yoke.

Sausages are the key to a great fry up for me. The trick here in Norway is to bake the cheapest sausages available so that they stay pale and uncooked looking. Then, to keep them moist you leave them sitting in lukewarm fat. I think the correct method is to have them not quite fully submerged.

And of course the beans. These should be left out long enough to dry out and form a crust. If you're lucky they dry out enough to split. I'd never seen this method before.

And last but not least - the imitation rubber fish cakes. I can't really judge these as I've never actually been brave enough to try one.

This was at 6:45 this morning - and breakfast only started at 6:30... I've come under some criticism in the past for the standard of my food pics, but I reckon David Bailey would have problems making Norwegian food look edible. I will never complain about Isaan food again.
I was hoping for a nice breakfast before watching England win the rugby... I guess some days just don't go as you hope.
^ Does Norway do bread ?
You'll be home sooner or later, just suck it up and count the $$$$$ you environmental rapist :)
Had this today, pretty good (there were a couple of chipolatas hiding under the bacon/ham) and value at 130 Baht with a coffee included:

Stopped off at my favorite purveyor of porcine produce while grocery shopping today too, got some Pork snags and Bacon that'll go with eggs and coffee tomorrow morning while thumbing thru the Bangkok Post and watching the WGC Golf in Japan. Fucking perfect.
^^ Yes, they do actually make quite nice bread - I usually have a slice with smoked salmon for breakfast. I was just pissed off today as I fancied something hot.
What annoys me is that everything in Norway is so expensive - and they serve up stuff like that to eat. It really is barely edible.
Thankfully the company picks up the bill, but I'd be well annoyed if I was on holiday and ended up in a hotel like this. And this is one of the better hotels in this town.
^ And that's just cruel!!!
Breakfast this morning was ham, cheese and tomato toasted sandwich with some scrambled eggs.
