^ Speaking of 'Jam' ... saw this over the week-end.

Never heard of it before ... Bacon Jam

    • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Transfer bacon to a paper towel-lined plate, reserving about a tablespoon of bacon fat in the pan.
    • Reduce heat to medium-low. ...
    • Stir in garlic, brown sugar, maple syrup, vinegar, chili powder and cooked bacon. ...
    • Let cool before transferring to a jar.

Inside the Arctic Circle on military excercise, I was tasked with setting up a feeding station for multinational troops. It was 40c below outside on a Sunday.
My chefs produced roast beef and yorkshire pudding, with apple crumble and custard.
A troop of Merkin refuellers turned up with those compartmentalised prison trays. Main course and pudding all in one compartment. Nuff said. Fucking peasants.

What passes as hash browns and unconsciously accepted as hash browns is quite depressing.
    Considering the sources.

See that i get, but that's because you aren't looking at meals with Betts Xanax glasses on after he's been and encouraged himself out to the local to work

Butter fried mushrooms & garlic sprinkled with parmesan.

No pic of the poached egg on toast that went with it, next time.

Exploring the bounds of breakfast up here in northern Nan province. Two day old home made pumpkin soup, but I did add some sauteed ham and a sprinkle of sea salt. Second meal today will be the rest of the massaman curry the wife made yesterday. Today's cuisine could best be described as leftovers.

Yep, only way to eat toast when it is not covered with lashings of salted butter.

Yesteday's breakfast in the Robin Hood on Sukhumvit.

It was pretty good - great hangover food. The sausages were pretty small though... and I would have liked a bit more colour in the mushrooms.

And the hash browns seemed to be a dollop of fried mashed potato.

Started right here in Seattle by Skillet street food truck. Amazing stuff. Started in an old airstream trailer.

They started out with a Kobe beef burger smothered in bacon jam with a side of poutine. Was amazing back ten years ago before they got to big for their own britches.

Today's breakfast: simple but tasty. OJ, spicy sausage, croissants and what was supposed to be an omelet (the cheese ended up on top rather than inside).
