So Flouncy comes round for breakfast, and the koont only goes and grabs the good place mat and cow cutlery.

That is your winner there but I would have preferred some bacon for my protein.

^SP .The British and Irish brekkie is without doubt the best breakfast in the world, but it's extremely rare you get one that's as good as you have at home when you roll out of bed on a Saturday morning after 10 pints and a rogan josh. And that extends to having one outside the house in the foggy isles too if you have to head out early for essential things such as a big away day for the football. Quite simply, there's nothing like a home cooked fry up.

Fuck knows where that yank hash brown has appeared from over recent years - jockey's whips are an occasional cockney thing and they're not acceptable at that time of day either for the rest of us outside the smoke - while there should be double the amount of sausages, some bacon and toast on that plate, at the very least, as well as a piece or two of artery assaulting fried bread. Kudos for the black pudding, but I'd probably throw a bit of white pudding on there too.

My Irish gran would have had one or two potato cakes smothered in butter next to the bed to get us warmed up, but beggars can't be choosers when we Brits and Irish are forced to endure such pale imitations of The Great British (Irish) Breakfast on our travels.

    Unfortunately, that's true.

And there's very little chance you're gonna learn now, are you?

Still, good to see such self reflection, Jeff. Green on the way.

A touch of butter but bingo, turn off the fire at the end while you do the toast and plate...
