^ Never mind the steak - that's a damn well done poached egg. Wish I had the knack for them.

Really couldn't be easier.
Pot with 5cm of water and a squirt of vinegar, simmering at a level with light bubbles.
Egg cracked into a bowl.
Whirl the water around with a fork, then slowly plop the egg into the center.
Remove it with yer slotted spoon 3-4 minutes later depending on taste.
Done. Add cracked pepper, salt and a herb of your choosing.
Reckon even Dill could do it without breaking his jaw or ankle.
That whole breakfast took less than 6 minutes from walking into the kitchen to walking out of it.
Poached eggs for me tomorrow then!
This mornings lazy breakfast. ...
Think I might have poached eggs on toast for lunch having viewed lulus pic again.
Yea, ok I'm toast. If you can make it across the river.

My breakfast is carefully prepared by the boss and consists of a slice of black rye bread upon which is spooned a whole mashed avocado upon which is placed 3, yes 3, perfectly poached duck eggs. A sprinkling of seasoning, accompanied by half a liter of freshly squeezed orange juice if in season, if not some stuff out of a box from Tescos. Does me for the day.
Because. Just, because.

A rather plain, but tasty breakfast this morning. Scrambled eggs on a slice of baguette.

Same as always for me. Porridge, unmilled oats, over which I sprinkle half a punnet of blueberries, walnuts and two squares of 90 per cent dark chocolate.
