^That was actually the sort of thing I wanted this morning, but the Missus asked if we could get pancakes so I did the right thing.
^ Ditched the missus and got the fry-up?
^Nah. She likes a fry-up too, well half of one so I get the other half heaped onto my plate which is never a bad thing. My pick for breakfast when we're out together in the morning next and it'll probably be eggs Benedict with salmon :).
Sorry but from an Americans standpoint that looks hideous. Poverty beans slapped over half the plate and preformed frozen processed potatoes. The meat looks ok but not enough of it and only one egg? I guess you fill up on those poverty beans and god no not the dreaded HP shit. A good breakfast should have a bottle of Tabasco close.
:spin:
:)
Not my pic but way more appealing...

Why am I a snob? That is what they are in the US where they originated. Heinz beans were poverty food in the US and was the first canned food imported into the UK. They actually were discontinued in the US in 1928 but carried on in the UK and became a staple in the UK for some odd reason.
Thanks for the red sheriff.

That's what I want this morning, but since the wife is already at work I won't be getting it. I suck at making gravy for the biscuits.
So I guess I'll make a homemade McD's sausage mcmuffin...
And Biscuits and Gravy didn't have its roots as a food of the poor?
What the heck is biscuits and gravy.
^poverty food :)
probably first made by African slaves in the colonies.
A southern buttermilk biscuit:

slathered with sausage gravy usually made with leftover pork sausage and drippings.

When I do get it for breakfast don't need eggs, bacon, toast...or beans.
They are pretty nice.

Gosh, I didn't realize I was impoverished.
Yet breakfast is half a gallon of White Spirits.
Hey now it's almost noon! Besides I've the day off.
Actually you're not that far off. I'm cleaning the bathtub while enjoying a sip of Elijah Craig and a Spotted Cow.
Only in Wisconsin, hey.
Well I don't feel like a bum anyway.
Beans beans the magical fruit the more you eat the more you toot the more you toot the better you feel so eat your beans at every meal.

6 km, then lightly toasted English muffin with a poached egg, Aussie steak brushed with olive oil and sprinkled with a pinch of ground salt and pepper, into a scorching hot pan for 10 seconds on one side, 5 seconds on the other.
Pinch o' parsley.
Served with a mug o' Tetley's.

Bogon Tip #9872354
Place steak on one slice of said muffin, butter the other, then transfer the steak to the buttered one, the result is both slices having tasty steak juice.
^ Did you steam the Steak (like you did the Bacon the other morning)? :)
^ Never mind the steak - that's a damn well done poached egg. Wish I had the knack for them.
Really couldn't be easier.
Pot with 5cm of water and a squirt of vinegar, simmering at a level with light bubbles.
Egg cracked into a bowl.
Whirl the water around with a fork, then slowly plop the egg into the center.
Remove it with yer slotted spoon 3-4 minutes later depending on taste.
Done. Add cracked pepper, salt and a herb of your choosing.
Reckon even Dill could do it without breaking his jaw or ankle.
That whole breakfast took less than 6 minutes from walking into the kitchen to walking out of it.
Poached eggs for me tomorrow then!
This mornings lazy breakfast. ...

Think I might have poached eggs on toast for lunch having viewed lulus pic again.
Let us know how it goes.
Yea, ok I'm toast. If you can make it across the river.
well never mind.
I hope these Howie things work like they used too.
All of Ause land tied to them, can't imagine. Good for a field trip. We shall see.

Poached eggs, I'll keep that in mind.
Pics soon to follow if the Howie thing still works.

My breakfast is carefully prepared by the boss and consists of a slice of black rye bread upon which is spooned a whole mashed avocado upon which is placed 3, yes 3, perfectly poached duck eggs. A sprinkling of seasoning, accompanied by half a liter of freshly squeezed orange juice if in season, if not some stuff out of a box from Tescos. Does me for the day.
Because. Just, because.
