This morning the wife said to me, 'what would you like for breakfast, darling?'

After I recovered from the shock of such an intimate conversation so early in the day, I said, 'how about a boiled egg?'

And that's exactly what I got. With all the trimmings.

^^ Two egg cups... well posh.

^ I've gone off soldiers lately and prefer to spoon out the egg onto toast. The biggest problem I find with soldiers is that when you dunk one, all the yoke overflows and runs down the side of the egg.

There must be something in the water Mendip, just after I posted the eggcups my Mrs came and asks if I want breakfast. Thought she’d never ask. Sausage bacon and eggs she says. Aye cool.

So I look at the eggcups on the shelf and think, will I ask her to boil the eggs? Glad I didn’t.
