For some maybe and the soup of choice would be tomato.

My soup of choice for that would be a creamy chicken soup with bacon, cheese, jalapeņos, tatties and onion.

I've always called the top heating element in an oven the broiler.....

In professional kitchens, they're called a salamander I do believe.

Low carb brekkie and no matter what the history books might show, all ingredients including the coconut water were first invented by some bloke named Russell "Russ" Smith in Harrogate England about 75 years ago

A bit chilly this morning so a tomato omelette and beans. I like my omelettes in the classic french style and runny.

Rather like I like my women... apart from the 'runny' bit maybe.

And the 'French' bit as well tbh.

I like mine folded so i can see the browner part and when you open it slightly you see the runny part.

I had to fight off the ants, again...they're everywhere and into everything. One of the problems with leaving the house alone for 18 months.

One of our chickens has started laying these ginormous spherical eggs. They must make her eyes water as they come out.

There was only one thing for it. Unfortunately I decided to wash the egg timer while the eggs were boiling and some water got into the sand and it stopped flowing, making me lose track of the time. The eggs were slightly overdone.

This may have been a blessing in disguise as the eggs were so big they didn't fit in the egg cups and just sat on top. As soon as I stuck a spoon in my egg it pierced the shell at the bottom and a runny yoke would have all flowed away into the egg cup.

    I'll maybe try again tomorrow...

For brekkie this morning I accompanied a Moroccan mate to a very Saudi breakfast joint.

I suspected things were going to get messy.

    My suspicions were confirmed.

^Indeed it is but who doesn't like a ham and cheese toastie? So let's add a fried egg with a slightly runny yolk, serve it in a house-made croissant, and put some mornay sauce in top. Good God that's a nice combo.

Sounds decent that. I have a thing for curried egg in my croissants.
