Airfried bacon? Cherry tomatoes?
Leave the cheese out, I was just bollocking around. :)
It's gotta be creamy mayo, crunchy iceberg, juicy succulent beef tomato, crispy bacon fried in it's own fat.

The process for layering the BLT was a point of consternation so I poured the molten cheddar on top to let it seep through the bacon, lettuce and tomato.

I can sincerely announce my first BLT was very nice with smiles all around apart from the dog, no leftovers.

Some Lulu lass apparently threw this together on a BLT thread a few years ago.

Might do one up tomorrow afternoon again, but think we only have farmhouse bread in Covid stock. Brushed with melted butter and grilled before construction might help that though.
Breakfast was a little unusual this morning. Based around some reheated three day old ham, potato and cheddar cheese bake with a white sauce. Added some oven baked bacon and two well fried eggs. Should get me through to mid-afternoon.

SEA Traveler started this breakfast thread years ago, he also started a BLT thread. I think he still has put together one of the nicest BLT's I have seen here in the LOS.

^^ Leo for breakfast. Respect.
On another breakfast issue. Had one of lifes great breakfast options today. Cold, left over pizza, food from the Gods.
My son insisted on microwaving his slice, and now I am unsure of his parentage.
But maybe its just me. Any other heathens heat up left over pizza?
I always heat it up a little, but never in the microwave.
My preference though is to never have nay leftovers
Thank Christ dimdave didn't start this thread and call it 'Breakfast: The First Course'.
Yes, but not in the microwave.
I use a proper cast iron skillet. 1 minute in light oil to firm up the base, then two drops of water and quickly cover the pan with a glass lid that traps the steam inside while it heats the rest of the pizza for another minute or so.
In order to add my expertise to the BLT controversy, NEVER USE LETTUCE!!!!!!! Use Thai basil instead. Lettuce is flavorless, where basil and tomato are best fooking friends.
Generally speaking I'm too hungover to do all that if I'm having pizza for breakfast. It's either cold or a few seconds in the 'wave for me. However, I'll suggest your method to the wife and pretend not to hear the microwave turn on. :)

This looks the best so far.
This talk of BLTs got me raiding the fridge for a Covid Wave version.

All good but for some hydro organic lettuce instead of iceberg.

Getting prepped with the half pack of bacon frying up deliciously in their own fat.

Both sides mayo'd and topped. 3 layers of bacon.
1. Don't skimp on bacon.
2. Don't skimp on mayo.

3. Thick juicy slice from the center of the tomato.

^11.5 out of 10.
Absolutely no contest vs bacon and butter.
BLT every time.
