He doesn't speak anything. He's a dog. I tended to do the speaking &, yes, it was usually in English.

Glad he's getting fussed over. Nice to speak to Joy, BTW. Tell her I'm sorry I didn't realise what was going on at first. I'd been sleeping in the minivan on the way back & was a bit fuzzy.

My old pooch understands about a dozen or two English words, but also comprehends more abstract phrases like "daddy has to go work today" and the little doggie has to stay home alone". She sulks when I tell here I have to go to work and usually bights me (in a playful way) when I tell her she has to stay home alone. She also knows that when the wife starts speaking in Thai it usually means one of us in trouble.

Gonna do some bone in pork chops breaded and pan fried, mashed potatoes with cream gravy. Then I will julliene some green beans and saute them off with onions and garlic and just a touch of oyster sauce. The kids like this one.

She's sick so me and the dog JET (lucky number 7) are having burgery bacony tomatoey cheesey toasty things. With a little bit of mustard.

The burgers are from Macro and not that good.
The 150 gram things just aren't that good IMHO.

Best is to cut them in quarters and fry them off in the bacon fat from the bacon which is very good. Also from Macro, Chiang Rai

Then a slice of cheese, a few slices of tomato and a bit of mustard. Toasted. Good

We had fish tonight. Straight from the river, lightly fried, with some sticky rice and some saucy stuff which was red and "pet mag".

    Jolly good.

Jet had the left overs, which he seemed to enjoy. He's not eating much which is a concern. Maybe he's just settling in.

A sudden change of diet can upset a dogs tummy, just like people. Find out what he is used to and feed him that. If you want to change his diet you should wean him over slowly to avoid problems.

He's used to anything & everything. Most recently, though he's been purely on dry food, for economy & time reasons.

Could also be the big changes he's undergone in the last few days JJ. He's gone from being a dog in a fairly large 'pack' arguing for his (dry) food to the only dog in a household where he's spoilt rotten. In the interim he's endured a plane jorney, two journeys in trucks and is with new people for the first time in 4 years. It might take him a little time to adjust.

Thanks for that. I reckon he's ok. we're trying different stuff. He won't starve, that's for sure.
He's a funny little chap. He's adopted his position where he can "guard" the doors into the house, and every 5 minutes or so he's up and checking. He won't answer to his name or even acknowledge being called which was a concern initially as we were worried he'd wander off, but he always comes back. He's seen off all the village dogs that used to hang around. Funny as he doesn't bark at them, haven't heard him bark yet, he just stands there and "look" at em. They turn and run.

^ Aww. That's my namesake. Just needs to give a look, right NR? I am suddenly sad to not have any stray dogs running about my house.

green fish curry with sticky rice. Yum Yum , but could have been spicier. The girls got into the beer and the Karaoke - with feedback - tie to retire I think.

Some very tender pork that Joy bought locally. It's normally tough as old boots and needs marinading for days but this was great. Noodles with tomatoes and some green stuff.

Fish and pasta for the dog.

Baked chicken, broc with cheese sauce. Couple of chokko gumi. My favourite. Finished off the afternoon coffee and am having a glass of vino. I had a baked potato with butter, sour cream and chives for breakfast, so not really hungry.
