Denny's serves a purpose but it is low class white trailer trash food. It's a 1/2 a notch up from all the drive through fast food places. I ate there only a few times and usually only had the onion rings. My drunk food place was Jack in the box. 6 pak of Super Tacos and then more Tequila. The good ol days.

American food can be as bad as you want it to be but it's the person's choice, you brits can't claim that. It's either really bad crap or Denny's style.
