Just don't squeeze that bag too tight...
The Crackpot has been retrieved from the room 101 and been given one last chance!
How hard can it be to slow cook a chicken and vegetable stew??
Well here goes...
Half a kilo of organic corn fed free range chicken thighs, cherry tomatoes, carrots, Maris Piper potatoes, an onion , French Lentils.
Well every likes a colourful recipe and pic..
Add the stock and crank it up and investigate the other half of the kitchen..
Shalom
I'd have dumped a can of cream of chicken soup in there as well...
There's quite a few recipes for slow cooked baked beans out there Joe. I think it might be worth a try...
^ That's what it needs, some MSG.
Did the ex leave any Maggi sauce behind?
Soup? Thought it started life as a curry or stew?
And yeah, who needs seasoning or flavour? Obviously over rated!
A whole chicken with a few veggies on low and slow for tomorrow's lunch..
^That looks really good, how was it?
My mom used to have one of these. They are great for stews and soups. Now all the rage is the instant pot. I haven't made soup in a long time. Just too busy with work.
That is what a crock pot is for. Busy people. Take your chicken parts and put them in the pot, add sliced onions, carrots, beans and potatoes. Season to taste, add water and turn it on. Come home 8 hours later and you have a fine healthy dinner. No more than 15 minute prep.
Um, you and willy etc, can fvck right off, you don't live my life. You don't realize how busy I've been over the past few months and I mean that with a new job i've had to mark, plan, and try to do laundry/cook etc in a two day weekend. So, ya I got out of making soup. Doesn't mean I don't eat healthy otherwise.
Oh yea, and I don't have a wife or husband to cook and wait on me hand and foot like you two might, so shut yer big traps. All on ignore, don't talk to me.
A mate of mine invested in 30 cheap plastic containers cost a fiver.
He'll spend one two hours once a month and make three x ten healthy high protein meals.
Chilli con carne
Chicken and vegetable soup
Chicken and lentil curry.
He then freezes them for the coming month.
Each nutritious meal costs about 50 pence .
They take a few minutes in the microwave, job done.
A bit boring for me because I regularly like to mix it up in the kitchen and experiment.
Batch cooking and freezing the likes of curries, soups and chilies.
What an amazing and novel idea.
Holy shiz. Could maybe even do it with a sauce for pasta too!

@chitty - I sometimes enjoy seeing your experiments in the kitchen!
As for batch cooking & freezing, I believe that Looper did it for this (in)famous fish pie surprise.
