    MM's Dinners

I haven't done a food thread in awhile so here goes. Made salmon fillet in my air fryer with some zucchini pan fried in EVOO.

Prepping the salmon with garlic, italian spices, salt and dill weed. I have a small air fryer which works for me.

I put it on for 20 mins at 375, turning it half way.

    Chopping my green zucchini

Spray the pan with olive oil, spice zucchini with dill, garlic and salt.

    Get the cleavage shot in.

Your salmon looks a bit dry and overcooked. I do mine in the top of a rice cooker trivet, with sliced potato, scrambled egg and wholemeal toast.
Looking at the cleavage pic, you should probably drop the spuds.

@Joe - Thanks Joe! I should kindly ask the mods to change the title to MM's Healthy meals.

^Not dry at all, Switch. That is what I like about the air fryer you can take it out when you want, so as not to get overly dry.
No spuds as I'm on a Keto lifestyle, so no carbs except for veggies.

Are you talking about the plates? These were given to me by my mom and they are Corel, so they are supposed to not break if you drop them on the ground.
    Haven't tested that theory.

It was dry, salmon should always be medium at most. If you have something to flaunt go right on ahead. When you dont leave it out, please we have all seen enough.

It wasn't dry for me, I don't like pink or raw fish of any kind. I don't have anything to flaunt, if you don't like the thread, then don't comment or look at it. Everyone posts food and threads galore, so don't pick on mine.

I told you what I thought. You posted up the pix not me. If you enjoyed it be happy as that is all that matters.

Looks fine MM, the only thing I would question is using the air fryer when a skillet was going to be used anyway for the zucchini with essentially the same spicing. I would have had the salmon in there also, skin down first to get it nice and crispy. No more than 10 minutes and both ready.

I like the air fryer and use it for most meat I cook. Less mess as in splash and I find a thicker salmon takes longer pan frying.
Anyway i'll post more healthy food up for anyone interested. I eat pretty healthy these days. I'm going to ignore the rude comments.

Nice thread, MM. The salmon looks OK for me - no complaints. Re: your diet (keto), I have some friends who did it and they indeed lost weight but said that it's not sustainable in the long run. They've now transitioned to a less carb (not zero carb) diet. You do what's best for you.

I can't do keto since I need my rice. I sometimes do intermittent fasting (16:8) and it works for me.

Re: cleavage shots, I'm neutral about it since I'm not affected by them. I also have cleavage but not as bountiful. 555. But in my opinion, if she wants to post those, then it's up to her.

Btw, MM. This is a tip given to me for food pics - take them at an angle (maybe 45 degrees?), not from directly above. The pics/ food will look better. Cheers!

    Yup.

    Fried Fish and Fried Courgette.

Childs play, albeit a hefty child who should cut down on the frying.

I get my carbs from vegetables, and yes it is a hard diet to sustain. I go off at times, but get right back on. Been doing it for over a year and lost sufficient weight.
The angle isn't from above. I was trying to get me cooking my zucchini, but somehow it didn't get the zucchini. Trying to take pics like that don't work very well when cooking.
Anyhoo, as I said I want to change the title to 'MM's Healthy Dinner', but i'll post more later.

Enough to know that a meal consisting of two fried dishes is not particularly healthy.

Past threads indicate that you really do love your frying pan.

    Do you have a steamer?

Frying something in EVOO which is a healthy fat is not unhealthy. Using an air fryer with avocado cooking spray is not unhealthy.
I do not use a steamer, and normally eat salads for lunch as well which is healthy. I guess using a steamer would be keep a few more nutrients in the zucchini, but I don't have one not a big fan.

I'm a bit with PAG, the skillet was used anyway . . . better tasting salmon in a pan, but good on you for posting a pic thread.

There is only one way I like salmon and that's pickled. I had a Norwegian for a neighbour during a a previous incarnation (just kidding)

I spent two summers gobbling down the jarred delights. Since then, and it's been a many decades long drought of zero and I exaggerate not. There has not been a single pickled salmon that has made the journey down my throat. You don't have a recipe kicking around do you? Or would anyone else care to share. There are magical.

Salmon is one of the few fish I don't eat. I also don't ever touch spirits when it comes to alcohol.

I feel I'm missing out in both cases, but I've tried! I've really tried to like both! Honest, guv!

The taste of salmon is just...I dunno. Not right.

Raw sliced salmon with a very light dressing of ginger and soy sauce.
