I know Broughton and Mungo Brush and Tamboi very well. My home is in Shoal Bay and my father was a fisherman and when we were kids he had the lease on one of the huts on Broughton and used to prawn the Myall.

I thought it looked like Broughton but I am used to seeing it from the other direction.

    Small world eh?

Can't put metal stuff in my microwave, well you can I suppose, but it makes a miniature fireworks display and I think it maybe a bit dangerous, quite amazing all this modern technology

Also, did the eyeballs of the fish explode in the microwave or did you dig them out before you cooked the fish?

You certainly must be a local to recognise it from the reverse angle, although it has some very distinct features which are no doubt etched into your memory bank.

I was talking to one of the Tarrant boys the other day on the river. He was on the way home to the bay after a night prawning.

Our grandfathers might have sat around at the prawn shots, drinking beer and telling yarns whilst waiting for the net to fill, so I am happy to have been able to take you back in time.

No DD they didn't explode but they were well and truly glazed.
I don't dig them out, I like to look my prey in the eye whilst eating him.

Yes, the technology is truly amazing. This bloody thing even weighs the fish and calculates the cooking time. It is moron simple, which is really handy for a cuisine challenged person like me.

I didn't even know about these ovens, but now I've told my wife and she wants one. I suppose Carrefour etc., have them? Any recommendations on a good and not too expensive brand? Probably the Korean ones?
