    They look superb.

    refill the charcoal
This is the kinda thing that made me stop BBQing after 2 or so months when I bought one around 2 years ago.

The environment we grow up in obviously has huge effect on our adulthood. I can only recall us doing one BBQ in our back garden (not back yard, or 'Back 40' or some other ridiculous name.) by the age of 18.

I certainly appreciate the taste of a good BBQ, but fokin' 'ell the effort of getting all the black dusty charcoal and little lighter things, getting it going, and doing it again if the charcoal needs to be topped up with freshies. Then cleaning out all the ash and shiz after.

After around 2 months it was back to using the oven and haven't Q'd since. Nature v Nurture has nurture winning again.

    Bet they'll taste fantastico.

A bbq needs to be smokey. Cooked with the smoke of coals and/or wood chips, like Willy The Twat is doing above.

A gas BBQ? Meat 'BBQd' without smoke and coals? Use it as dog food.

And slow Q'd ribs that take 8 hours of Q'ing.

how many times does the gas tank man have to come to change the gas tanks over 8 hours?

BBQs were different in the UK when I was a kid. You'd burn some sausages and stick them in a bun while your mum cooked everything else in the kitchen before bringing outside. Then not 5 minutes later we'd bring everything back in because it started raining.

Everything tastes better over charcoal. But ya better tell him gas is a fossil fuel.

Q finished, was outstanding. Will post pics later.

Glad that you fully agree with me. :-)

Gas over charcoal for a BBQ? They must be outta their minds!

BLD, that poor contraption has its work cut out, perhaps buy two and half the load between them, or one for the piles of veg and one for the meat and cook simultaneously, if the table size allows? :-)

Few snags, some steak and some lamb chops make the perfect bbq. Served with salad and baked (in foil) potatoes.
