Is there something wrong with your phone or is that cheese actually white?

It was an elemental which is lighter coloured. But the operator is also extraordinarily bad at photo taking also
Maybe relax after you take the sausages off the BBQ. Save them from being turned into coal.
Gotta say,that does look inviting.
Tell me those menthol fags are the wife's or some brass left them behind
Today being a Friday it as good as any to fire up the Q again. I like these coconut coals, they burn hot, burn for hours and are relatively smokeless.
As mentioned before I use a chimney to get them started, burn them until the fire starts creeping to the top. And then ready to place on the Q.
Australian Short Ribs. These didnt need any trimming.
Add a rub, this time I added coffee into the rub.
Halfway through the cook. The smell is sensational.
You cannot Q without a drink, so G&Ts it was.
Finally, the finished product.
I just woke up (5:30am) and seeing this I am wicked hungry and want to Q something. Nice job DW.
A mate's birthday yesterday, so bought this lovely piece of meat. Some lovely marbling.
Best to add a dry rub to this baby. Salt, black pepper, garlic powder, coriander seeds, dried chilli, cumin, fennel seeds, celery seeds and fresh coffee. Grind it then rub it and leave for a few hours.
Normally I'd reverse sear this using the webber, but we only had an open topped fire pit, so necessity being the mother of invention wrapped the steak in foil and heated bother sides for about 30 minutes each.
Cans for size comparision.
Kids had a swim while waiting. Then unwarp the foil, and sear each side for another 10-15 minutes each. Perhaps I should have added more coals for a bit more heat and flame at this stage, but on balance it was fine. Crusted nicely.
Rested the steak, then carved it up. Didnt have time for any photos. Everyone was happy. Including the dog.
^ Looks raw and that white fat doesn't look nice.
Nice rub though
Are you the only one that uses the pool area? Always seems empty. Meat looks great.
This is my twice used q Willy, bought it last year
What's the chimney and air intake for?
