While those associated with football in England take pride in the fact that they can be said to be 'inventors' of modern football, other forms have been recorded elsewhere - and much earlier.
Indeed, the earliest form of football is understood to be 'cuju' which was played in China during the Han dynasty from 206 BC to 220 AD.

Baked beans are an American national dish, as I have pointed out in my last two posts. Clearly you missed it, since you have reading comprehension problems. As an American with German blood and also having lived in Germany, I can clearly tell you that the Germans have nothing to do with the dish. In fact, just making that comment shows a remarkable lack of culinary knowledge on your part, which is not surprising in the least.

    snub your ignorance is unbelievable

Smith, author of Hamburger: A History, the hamburger's main component — a ground beef patty — did originate in Hamburg. In the 19th century, Hamburg was known for producing superb beef from its high-quality cows that grazed outside the city, says Smith. ... “'Hamburg steak' sounded much more elegant than 'ground beef.

Why are you people engaging Chico? He doesn't understand his OP and is confused about whether its a national dish or was originally created in a particular country.

Chico is right, Hamburg steak came from Germany. However, it was Americans that transformed it into a national dish, the hamburger, a Hamburg steak on bread with condiments. If he was really a chef, he'd acknowledge that fact that food changes over time and country of origin can be argued endlessly....which is his point of starting this thread....to seek reaction rather than a discussion.

Chico needs attention. Starve him of it and his idiocy doesn't spread.
