Whopper is the Burger King equivalent to the Big Mack, cant say that any of us would go out of our way for one, but in a pinch it fills the belly.
Next time you make a burger try some raw red onions, it provides an extra zing , crunchiness, and texture. If you don't like it you can always take them out.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

On the contrary I quite like it.

But pair it (or any other fruit) with meat and then you'll need to fight me.

Ahhh ok, Whopper is Hungry Jacks, yeah never eaten from that place.

Don't matter what colour they are but I'll pass on raw onions.

^A Whopper is what you'd have had at Burger King (or Hungry Jack's as they're called in Oz) but burgers in Australia typically have raw onion on them too.

I'd have to be real desperate to eat a burger from any of those fast food slop joints.

Ive never had a takeaway shop burger that did not have fried onion... where in aus do you come from ?

When I used to get a Chicken/Ham etc salad sandwich, the local ma and pa shop made them ... they always had this little bit of 'zing' that Mum's sandwiches didn't have.

The shop was owned by Greeks and they put very thinly sliced raw white onion on.

As long as it doesn't over power the food, I find them quite enjoyable.

Lived in a few locations and worked in every State/Territory but the Gold Coast is where I stay on yearly visits since leaving there in the 80's. Raw onion on burgers down there is very common in my experiences.

First burger I ever had was a McDonald's Big Mac best I ever had was a beef brisket burger!

Aberdeen Angus beef burger with cheese and lettuce on a brioche bun will save the day anytime.

No onions, beetroot, egg etc, keep it real.

A very respectable way to prefer your burger.

I'm trying to remember when I last made beefburgers; must be several years ago and haven't bought one since before that.
If the beef is too good then I'm not going to waste it on a burger, will make a steak sandwich instead. I add chopped onion, breadcrumbs and an egg and mix to form patties that aren't too crumbly. Lettuce, tomato and some relish is enough for me. Don't like to add too much, rather serve with a salad and chips. Buns have to be soft and not dry.

You gotta be able to pick it up, and you gotta get a mix of ingredients on each bite.

What Fondles posted for me is just what happens when common sense goes out the window.

Bit boring to be honest, there was an Echidna wander out onto the track which was the highlight for me.

Sure looks like it. The best of fast food burgers. Fresh beef, veg and potatoes daily.

The chances of me having a burger this evening are about 99.87% at this point and rising.

I feel inspired to make one tonight. It will have lettuce onion beetroot egg tomato and double monterrey Jack cheese with the beef patty. If it will all sit on the bun. I cant be bothered to cut the pineapple otherwise i would have that too. BTW they are called Hawaiian burgers with pineapple at the local burger shop. I also like to substitute the beef occasionally with a fillet of Barramundi but not tonight. ran out of beetroot, bugger.

Yeah I'm leaning that way too godammit . My favourite home delivery joint does a real good cheeseburger with battered onion rings on it, sublime.
