    Love me a Battered Sav.

Tried a Pluto Pup in the US.... very similar but not the same.... that could be the rancid ketchup shit they dipped it in though, nothing beats proper Aussie Tomato sauce.

Battered rings are good. I like them with chips.

If the beef is too good then I'm not going to waste it on a burger, will make a steak sandwich instead. I add chopped onion, breadcrumbs and an egg and mix to form patties that aren't too crumbly. Lettuce, tomato and some relish is enough for me. Don't like to add too much, rather serve with a salad and chips. Buns have to be soft and not dry.
Have to agree with troy. Sometimes its better in a lightly toasted sandwich. I have though tried a piece of eye fillet with thin sliced raw oinion fresh tomato and lettuce in a brioche bun. A bit minimalist but quite nice and melts in your mouth but in a toasted sandwich is better.
For me, Barramundi with smashed avocado lettuce and tomato and a light cheese melt on a good hamburger bun.

Never had beetroot, but egg and pineapple are fine with me, but not together. Saw that video before...made me hungry the whole time!

I personally like fried onion straws and grilled spicy peppers

    Aren't all 'onion rings' battered.

Would be pretty fokin' disappointed if I ordered Onion Rings off the menu and they served me a plate of raw onion slices.

Yep. But then what would they argue about?

    Nobody was arguing about it.

Pretty sure it was an attempt at humour.

I genuinely never heard of the thing before this thread.

Never been inside a hungry jacks and they certainly were not on the menu board at my local hamburger joint growing up.

So this is what I got the last time I was at 5 guys. Notice what appears to be some greasy glove smear on the top of the bun...

    The perfect burger-tznjnjp-jpg

I ate it anyway, and it was good, but I have not been back since as there are too many good burger places here. Looks even worse here...

    The perfect burger-s1rdvel-jpg

If you can get past the grease smear, it was damn good.

Best ones in Pattaya that I know of are at Tigglebitties on Soi Regional Land, that's where the burger I had with them on it came from but they do them as a side dish to anything too. Look at the sides section of menus where you're eating out, especially at anywhere with steak and/or American influenced food, they're definitely not uncommon. Places like Tony Roma's will have them for sure.

^The Soi that runs between 3rd Road and where the old Lion Pub was, or the Camel Toe. Just checked and Google Maps shows it.
