I can’t stomach jok anymore. Since being fed jok three times a day while in the hospital I’ve had enough for the rest of my life, thank you.

Now kao mun guy I could eat for breakfast every day. If I only had some this morning. I’d have to drive quite far to an authentic Thai restaurant in these parts.

We do have a new Korean place that is the real deal.

I've never seen the attraction with that (although the rice is nice), but the pork leg on rice I could eat until the cows come home. I can't remember the name now. Got it! Khao kha moo!

I do remember that if ever I was on a bender around Nana - and these were frequent - there was a fella who had a place on the corner before soi 7 where I could refuel with this and then get straight back into the debauchery. 25 baht it was back then too.

    Yes
Often bought it for the wife, when she felt unwell.

Think that I only had a taste

    I'd rather wait for lunch

It's the old "eat chicken soup to make you feel better" adapted to Thai food, innit? Low fat, not heavy on the stomach etc.

I had stomach problems for ages when I was in Thailand and Thais would always recommend that to me.

I once had a bit of the same in a small hotel/restaurant in India.

I'm sure it came from some giant crab, that they insisted was for me.

    To overcome my illness
they served me some drink, that I'm to this day am sure was cowpiss.

And smelled like it in a big way. Warm too.

Lovely place. They even insisted on having a staff member on my bedside at all times, while I was taking care of the stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting.

    Too much really.

Some jok and aloneliness would have been fine

Fuck, it's hard work to post photos (3 at a time seems to be the limit).

    Central Park and 5th Avenue.

Green owed as I do love the pics, besides you are probably having a rough time since you lost the cricket to the Aussies again.

It is seriously hard work to post pics. I've got a Costa Rica thread waiting in the wings, but it takes ages to upload photos.

Don't worry, snubs, we English cricket fans are used to losing. Anyway, holidays + beer = happiness.

I am from Seattle, if you knew American sport you would understand that I can empathize.

Fully on board and well down the pissed up highway. Eating off my box of chocolates from Costco, as well as nibbling on a smorgasbord of fine English Cheddar.

Mods, can you help with the pics in 90 and 94? They don't seem to be showing unless I click on the attachments.

I think we're gonna need a bigger boat for our photos on Teakdoor.
