    Thai Pla

This probably won't appeal to most folk on here, but it would probably grab the attention of your' significant others.

for the last while, my Mrs and her Pal have been making, and selling, copious amounts of Thai Pla.

Now I only know what I see, but basically they get up real early to get around 8 large fish from the market. Bonnie fishes. I'll ask what kind of fish they are, maybe someone can let us know:

So they bake them first in our large oven, barbecue them then debone.

They make up a paste/sauce kinda thing:

Add the fish. Most of this is done live on FB, a bit of a comedy show from what I can gather.

In with some herbs and loads of cashews

    Plated up

Packaged. (can't find a pic with the labels on, will come back with that.

So they are doing quite well with this, sending this stuff to friends all over the world

Some famous (i think) guy has reviewed it on FB.

He did really well, this stuff is HOT HOT HOT. His eyes can barely open by the end.

    Log in to Facebook

    Found some labels

So if anyone is interested, please feel free to drop me a line or whatever. They sell in discounted bulk so if anyone wishes to sell this product or simply sell some off to get your own for free then you are most welcome.

    Thanks for your time

Tuna is a subgroup of mackerel from the same family but those look like mackerel to me, the deep forked tail is usually the giveaway. Looks like Indian Mackerel

My best guess (and difficult without the head) is longtail tuna (Pla O-dum).

Which appears to be the Longtail Tuna, good spy Nid.

The species commonly found both in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea are longtail tuna (Thunnus tonggol), kawakawa or eastern little tuna (Euthynnus affinis) and frigate tuna (Auxis thazard).

Wow, that looks spicy! Do you think they put enough peppers in it? Pretty neat they are having so much fun cooking and selling it.

Oh yea!!!!! Sator (sp?) in Thailand and petai in Malaysia. Durian after and your system will be well and truly flushed - but what a great taste. Have you had Sambal Udang Petai? It's a must!

That is far too spicy for me, less chili and maybe non-Thais can enjoy it as well.
