the Ex Junky missus used to cut strips off flip flops to fire up the charcoal BBQ.... was all fine and dandy till one day she cut the strips off my expensive imported Surfer Joe flip flops.
The BBQ that day got heaved over the fence and scattered across the road.
The Meth One's Fuck The Best !!
The Thais I knew used strips of bike tire inner tube. I could always taste it.
Yeah inner tubes in my experience.
You don't cook with the rubberbands , you use a couple of them to start the kindling, the rubberbands are burned in a minute. Anyway, you live in Thailand and you are worried about burning a couple of rubberbands?
Love chicken livers. Grilled, floured and fried, or in a tomato Sause with a side dish of rice. Also love Liver and onions. Not crazy about any other "innards" . Wife loves the all, and I love my wife
Love Thai food, but not crazy about Issan food
Love it here in Khon Kaen, Some bad, but mostly good for me so far. Been coming here for over 14 years but never lived here full time. So ask me again in 10 years
Anyway Next time you want to start a fire, never mind the papers and the blowing, stuff a couple of rubberbands under your kindling's and watch them go,
No the problem is where to find rubberbands in Issan . LOL
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
I bought a big chunk of Mozzarella from Macro, cut it to manageable portions , put them in Foodsaver vacuum bags and shield them for refrigeration.
The kitchen tip I am about to share as it occurred to me is that I made the vacuum seal bags three times the length they needed to be , that way every time I opened one, I could cut it back and vacuum re-seal what I had not use.
Brilliant right?
feel free to nominate me for the Nobel price in the category of the culinary sciences.
When making cheese on toast, put a bit of tomato paste/puree underneath. Boom!
