... or ice cream. You forgot the ice cream!
Last night it was cup cakes with custard... AND ice cream. I felt really decadent.
The chocolate chip vanilla ice cream melting into hot, home-made custard created a taste sensation.
Teamed up with a lightly microwaved Makro strawberry cupcake. It don't get better than that!
Cup cakes, custard, ice cream AND Hong Thong, excellent behaviour mendip
Owing to a rare breakdown in communications in the Mendip household we've ended up with three bunches of bananas in the fruit bowl.
So what to do?
I don't want to drag the Dinner thread off topic again so I'll put the second part of last night's dinner here.
And thanks to Malmo Mike for the raspberry jam tip.
there you go, now all you need is a good skin on it
I've gone a fair proportion of my life without custard.
But now I seem to have custard at least three times a week, occasionally even at lunchtimes over the weekends.
But I've yet to have custard in bed before getting up.
This has led me to the inescapable conclusion that custard is inversely proportional to rumpty pumpty. During my hey day, back when I was alive, I probably didn't have custard for months, or even years, on end.
Any mathematicians out there?
Tonight I made custard.
And it was great custard too.
And guess how much action I'm getting?
This pretty much proves my theory but I'd like OhOh to confirm it with some reliable statistics.
I believe free referendum have been carried out in Kusturdostan?

I think your nuptials are inversely proportional to the pudding you pull
Some of the exotic Indo cuisine Senorita fronts up with is more towards the interesting than delicious end of the culinary spectrum but this Martabak Manis (AKA Terang Bulan) is a pudding to match any western pudding.
The top and bottom layers are pancake. The sandwich layer in the middle is a mixture of chocolate sauce and peanut butter with slightly crystalised sugar.
^ that sound damn yummy to me
Looks nice, Looper.
And very easy to make (thanks to YouTube).
Nice loops!
Reminds me of my sticky toffee pudding and custard last night.
That was a timely post Nev as I still have 3 bits left so was able to take my time with one piece during the second half of Croatia-Japan (wearing my vintage Japan away shirt purchased in Tokyo in 2001) to savour the flavour and I am indeed getting notes of condensed milk coming through. Also I can see that their are to many bits of peanut for it to be peanut butter. I just assumed it was peanut butter due to the texture but part of the crunchiness is coming from the crushed peanuts.
Had to do a double take as I was strolling through the pudding section when I clocked a giant 1.4Kg trifle!
I have never before seen trifle in any supermarket.
I snatched up that bad boy in about 0.03 nanoseconds and almost bought all 3
Unboxing was looking good...
Praise be to the patron saint of puddings...
Even has white chocolate shavings grated on top for real tough of clarse
^She mentioned something about cheese but I wasn't listening
Maybe it has got cheese in it too, although I will need to have another taste to check
Exceedingly good Dilly.
OK, so maybe the football was disappointing last night but the weekend pudding treat was outstanding as usual.
Pre-warmed cup cakes with home-made vanilla custard.
And a good splurge of whipped cream.
^ You coulda took them out of their paper casings
Should've went to Specsavers, Reg.
