At the end of the day it's just the larger side cut off a t-bone steak, the smaller side being tenderloin. Paleo Robbie has some excellent NZ strip steaks if you can't find them locally.

I prefer a Dijon or seeded mustard with steak, but on the side.

I like hot English with chicken or turkey.

Still no shortage of top quality Aussie steaks here in Bali, no matter what some dried up old paddy might think.
My choice would be tenderloin rare, with a poached egg on top. Fried onion rings, potato salad or hand cut chips.

Mushrooms and garlic sauce, with maybe a side salad if the chef has a decent salad dressing recipe.

A bottle of decent red to go with it, if available.

Salt and pepper. Sometimes garlic butter.

    It's hard to improve perfection.

Before going anywhere near this debate, I would like some clarification as to what is, in fact a "condiment"?

Where is the line drawn between a "condiment" and an accompanying "sauce"?

You would have to actually eat it and enjoy the taste.
And no ,the stuff you wanted to put on Bsnub's steak doesn't count as a "condiment"

^ yeah i will agree with that, infact I would rather have a medium rare with nothing else at all than have Tomato sauce on it.

It's OK to have tom sauce with your chips though.

    And bangers too.

sliced down the center after cooked and a quick fry, then in a crispy hotdog roll, with t-sauce and a little hot mustard

As long as you are not mixing the chips with sauce on them with the steak!

    I'd like to add one....

On a mediocre steak, some salsa is nice, especially if its really nice and fresh. It's a nice balance between a so-so steak and a fresh taste...if that makes sense.

Chimichurri tops my list. Not for a first date though as it leaves a bit of a green garden in the teeth.
