Did the bread hold up? I get dogs similar to that here and the roll normally falls apart halfway or less.

The buns held up well. They were toasted which help reinforce the dog and the toppings.

Reminded me of the word crimper. If it is even a word. I would have been about 6 and my older sister (by 10 years) had a hair crimper and her friends and her would crimp their hair (make it very wavy) before going out. I remember one made a pact to marry me, besides the age difference (6 and 16). Must have since found an older man.
